Apr 24 11 04:10 am Link Thanks to Drew & Karl! Beautiful models, good food, and great location! Apr 24 11 04:41 am Link WOW! All our events are top notch amazing but this one was the BEST! Thank you to all the 65 photographers who attended. No typo. 65! The location was so big, they were all spread out. You guys were professional and I did not hear any complaints. Nothing broken, nothing stolen. Great Time! Now let's see those awesome images. Thank you for the models who came. Very professional and beautiful as ever. All 15 of them made lots of money. The others made surprisingly more. They ALL SOLD OUT thier 1 on 1s and I had to extend a 7th session. The location was amazing, although too big for my liking but the possisbilities..endless. No limits. Thank you to our assistants who walked and worked their butt off. You guys know who you are. Thank you Norm for the massive amount of food and drinks you brought. It was great! Thank you to the homeowner and the caterer. It was like a party. This is how a workshop/group shoot should be. That's why we are considered the number 1 workshop/group shoot in Southern California. Bar none! See you all on May 15...well not all since we won't be able to fit 65 this time. LOL Apr 24 11 08:30 am Link Happy Easter all.... Apr 24 11 12:10 pm Link ATTENTION!!! I'm trying to conduct a poll of the attending photographers with regards to any equipment (specifically lights) that were used at the location on the house power outlets. 1. Did any of you experience any oddities with your lights while using the house power? e.g. misfires, firing for no reason. 2. Did any of you have any equipment stop working in some fashion? e.g. modeling lamps not working, strobe not working altogether. 3. Did any of you check your lighting gear when you got home after the shoot and notice any issues with your light equipment? The reason why I am asking is because Mike Quan, Mark Tienswang, and I had blown fuses on about four (4) or more Einsteins. After the shoot, at least two of the Einsteins with new fuses exhibited malfunctioning modeling lamps and ready indicators. I believe that my Alien Bees B1600 was being overloaded on one of the outlets resulting in possible excessive heat on the board(s). So if any one has had any issues, please chime in. Thanks. Apr 24 11 12:17 pm Link Yeah, one of my Photogenic Lights was beginning to missfire and then started smoking while shooting by the main staircase. I unplugged the instrument and then had to switch to another light with power coming from a Vagabond II instead. Taking it in to have it checked tomorrow....bummer Edit: Have ran the light now for about a half hour. Seems to be running fine. Must have been bad power at the house in Riverside. Whew! Other times I would get a full power discharge even when I was set to low (1/8 or 1/4) power. Strange behaviors on multiple outlets.
