One night is formal dining. A dress for the ladies. A tux for the men,(JK)
but a jacket or tie or both would be nice.
Way to windy on deck for softboxes etc.so when shooting KISS (keep it simple)
Only 1 electrical outlet in the cabins plan ahead.
Try not to pack for 3 months the cruise is only 6days.
If you can carry your own bags on and off the ship you will not have to
wait in groups to off load.
You are allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine or champagnie on board.
You do go through customs, any drugs and NO CRUISE!
Parking at the terminal in Long Beach is $15./day. Think carpool!

Tux--excellent idea. If you don't bring--you might be able to rent--for real! :-)

Softbox--to anyone considering I ask "Have you lost your mind?!;-)."
For outdoor shoots while ship is in motion it's ludicrous. Sometimes reflectors almost got ripped out of my hands due to strong winds. [OK, maybe that's a tiny tad hyperbolic--but only a smidge].

Plugs--they are constrained so bring a power strip with multiple outlets if you're the average consumer. You might be able to unplug the power to the TV, etc. to gain access to another outlet but that can be a PIA.

Transport--large limo MIGHT make economic sense!

Bags--try to get bags that you can secure so that stuff can't be removed NOR stuff added. You don't really want to lose your liquor nor acquire contraband!

Customs--I respectfully beg to differ with the poster by stating that canines notwithstanding, I have reason to suspect that cruises can sometimes go con cannibis! ;-)

This is in no way to be interpreted as an advocacy for carrying or contributing contraband to a cruise--just merely an observation of facts that reality may not be as categorical as stated.

If you don't understand what I just wrote, please consult an attorney for clarification before you criticize or condemn! :-)

[NB: I reserve the right to revise and extend my remarks, and resubmit, PRN.] ;-)

What a great group of models...but none from MM???  'Didn't see any member numbers like previous years?  Anyway...still trying to make things happen so I can make it this year.  It's not over til it's over....right?...so I'm still trying.  'But would still love to look at some ports of these beautiful women to remind me of what I might end up missing.

What I was saying is that if you are CAUGHT with drugs by customs you will NOT be going on the cruise.

Earnestly speaking, I discourage possessing any illegal drugs, substances, or gray-area funny stuff in this group on this ship.  It's better for everybody, as a group or individual, from a financial standpoint, legal, logistics, organization, and many other aspects of this trip.  I wouldn't want to put Gary in any additional worries, problems, and pressure as an organizer.

At cruise end, de-boarding is in shifts...in single file lines.  From what I saw during my de-boarding, there was a 100% canine check of each line.  To be safe, if you do use at home, you need to thoroughly clean your bags, and wash everything you take with you.  If you get detained, you are pretty much on your own.

Hear hear is right... this is what's going to happen to you if customs agents catch you transporting illegal contraband either on or off the ship.  Upon detection of your illegal substance (non prescription drugs, marijuana, cocaine, crack, whatever), the Long Beach Police Department will place you under arrest and you will spend a minimum of 24 hours in jail.  The following day you will be released with a citation to appear in court with a bail amount of anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand dollars, depending upon the seriousness of your infraction.

Do you really want this to happen?   I didn't think so... don't even consider it... ;-)

We have a potential 'low tide situation' in Cabo San Lucas on the day and exact time we're shooting on the beach.  Depending upon how low it is (forcasted -0.15 which seems pretty darn low)... we may be able to shoot 'the arch' at land's end.  Guess we'll just have to see how low that is on Tuesday the 4th.  Definitely going to 'go for it' if we get the chance... borat

https://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e223/akane333/Cabo_San_Lucas_Mexico_-_El_Arco.jpg

Here's the tide chart for Tuesday, Nov 4th in Cabo San Lucas... borat

http://tides.mobilegeographics.com/cale … r/846.html

And be advised... 'The Arch' can only be reached via the shore boats during a low tide.  At high tide, 'The Arch' area is completely blown out and several feet under water... hmm

The images you see here were captured during a low tide.

https://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp130/Linda4Yeshua/P%20L%20A%20C%20E%20S%20%20_TRAVEL/_Cabo-San-Lucas_Mexico.jpg

For those attending... do you have any idea just how rare of an opportunity this is?... you probably don't.  I've been trying to shoot 'The Arch' on 5 previous 'Cruiseboat Photoshoots'... to NO AVAIL!  Each time I was there, the tide was HIGH and the opportunity was NEVER possible... until possibly November 4th of this year... wink

This shot of Michelle Belle was shot in Cabo last year.  Could you image how sweet 'The Arch' would look in the background?... borat

Great line up but looks like 3 of my favorite models dropped off the roster. Roxanne, Amy and Miranda. Bummer!!! But no complaints always a pleasure to work with new faces.  And 'old' familiar ones like Angelina and Alex. llama
