Model shot outside, extracted her from the background, added new stock background, wasn't so I added "lens blur" on Max 3 times, still wasn't happy so I added the stock shot of the American flag and get it the same treatment as the background. Adjusted the lighting on the model and background to match. Kicked the curves and tweaked the background saturation. All work completed in CS6.

Just a reminder to everyone , rule number 13 .

13. You should post with your entry what medium (software used) and how you processed the artwork (example : Photo, new background, Painted etc, or Oil painted, photoshop etc.). If you do not post how you processed it (steps taken) and the medium, you may be disqualified.
THE EXPLANATION OF HOW THE IMAGE IS PROCESSED IS A VITAL PART OF THIS CONTEST.

If you do not post how you did it in Ps or paint or whatever program you worked on it in you will be disqualified .

also please try to keep it simple but also we will not accept it just saying worked on is photoshop etc , you must say what you did to the photo .

thank you . smile

Shot in the studio. The models were in-between 2 columns. I increased the contrast in certain areas, and less on others.
I used a mix of AuotFX for lighting, and Photoshop brush painting for the clouds

No one remembers history around here not even the greatest artist i have worked with, Tytaniafairy ( I attribute that to continuing health problems) who along with myself abolished that rule in the original contest. It's pretty self-explanatory and a really unfair rule. It limits this contest to digital creators only. Models cannot enter...muas.....or anybody else.....we did away with that rule for a reason once before.....but oh well.....

actually rule 13 says you may be disqualified so if you are going to stick to that rule you need to chage the wording....

Model shot in studio. Adjusted to proper levels in Lightroom. Uploaded to Photoshop. Removed from plain white background and placed in current background bought at renderosity.com. Played with fill in a new layer. Played with color in a new layer. Hair was fixed. Put model image through Portrait Pro 12 to fix imperfections. Uploaded to Perfect Effects 9 where I gave it a harsh HDR look. Backed off the HDR and smoothed out the model a bit. Added detail to the model's eye. Took a break to take medications crushed up in sugar-free pudding, drank a strawberry protein drink, then some hot tea to help with nausea. Took a 5 hour nap. Re-opened in Photoshop and added the VOP symbol.

I believe you and I ran this contest when rule #13 was dropped....  for exactly that reason.....
Nevertheless, love your description, especially the part about the milk and cookies and nap smile

I am going to change the rule somewhat later into another rule , that is if the picture does not look like digital art to one of us then Dave and I will send the person a note , and we will vote on it if we think it constitutes digital art and follows rules ...

how does that sound
