I chose not to shoot with a photographer based on
Alright I just turned down a photographer who wanted to shoot with me based on an image in his port..... I did not reply to his message but rather commented on the image ....this is what i said I appreciate the interest to shoot with me....but I will have to turn it down based on this image....I find it very humiliating and disrespectful to the church and the christian faith...... *notate* I'm not religious I have respect for every faith..... and have seen alot of "art" and have the highest respect for it.... but I dont see this as art.... I just see it as disrespectful and I'm guessing the church was not aware of this. Now I'm not really religious but its just a RESPECT THING..... I found the image very degrading and humiliating......what do you think..... can I post a link to the image.... i'm not sure I dont want to get outed... Nov 05 07 03:20 pm Link is it okay to start a sentence with 'alright', isn't that proposition or someting Nov 05 07 03:22 pm Link I wants to see piktur Nov 05 07 03:23 pm Link Lotus Photography wrote: *bite me* Nov 05 07 03:24 pm Link Phoenix1 wrote: Don't link to the image or you'll get brigged Nov 05 07 03:24 pm Link I think it's rude to turn him down by leaving a comment and not a PM. I would have never done anything like that. I think it's unprofessional and rude. Just my two cents. Although i would love to see the photo PM it? Nov 05 07 03:26 pm Link Why would you leave it as an image comment? In my opinion, thats totally unprofessional. If you didnt want to work with him because of one image then reply to his message privately. It is based on ONE image in his port...there are others. Just because he did that image with one model doesnt mean that he will do the same with you. A lot of photographers do different types of shots, if you dont like them then dont look at them. If you dont want to shoot with him because you didnt the the shot then thats your views. But for you to go off about religion is total bullshit because he couldnt give a shit less that your religious beliefs are. If I don't like it, I don't have to shoot it. Plain and simple. Nov 05 07 03:29 pm Link Dave Abdon wrote: darn...that sucks....ok i'll describe it Nov 05 07 03:29 pm Link add me to the "it was unprofessional" list. you have every right to choose who you shoot with for any number of reasons, you could have turned him down in PM rather than leaving a tag for the next visitor to his images to see/read. It's a respect thing...I dont do this for a living...I do this as a hobby therefore I CHOOSE who I want to shoot with ..... I've shot with many many different photographers.... from all aspects but this image just crossed the line for me Nov 05 07 03:31 pm Link Phoenix1 wrote: Some would considered that stealing which is worse than unsolicited critique. Nov 05 07 03:31 pm Link damon wrote: ya krysta said the same thing..... i was wrong in doing that.... I admit.. sad thing with me is that when I get angered I dont really give a shishkabob Nov 05 07 03:32 pm Link but the tag can be deleted. She was trying to be honest, just chose the wrong method. lighten up, people. I have models turn me down, I don't toss my panties because they said no. Nov 05 07 03:32 pm Link UnoMundo wrote: true. I think religion is crap, so something like that wouldn't bother me. Nov 05 07 03:36 pm Link I just PMed the photographer apologizing for leaving the comment on his image I also directed him to this thread.... I"m not a backstabber and dont like people talking behind my back so I treat people the same way. Nov 05 07 03:38 pm Link Phoenix1 wrote: Well you did just disrespect the photographer (in my opinion) by leaving a tag so everyone can see. Nov 05 07 03:39 pm Link Krysta Gabrielle wrote: after all the religious threads that seem to have finally died down I hesitated with posting this thread but I"m bored...and the forums have been rather blah lately...lol Nov 05 07 03:39 pm Link Phoenix1 wrote: I think that was the best thing you could have done. Then again i dont think anyone here thinks your a backstabber, just a laps of judgment in this case. Nov 05 07 03:40 pm Link PM me the pic link??
