I'm not sure what your point is. Do you not believe that every model has the right to decide if and when they'll pose nude?

Sure, every model has a right to make that decision.   But the way the person being quoted is putting it sounds like they're saying "nudes are bad for my reputation unless they're in a big-name magazine".

It's like a woman saying "I'm not a whore, but I'll have sex with you for a million bucks".   Sorry, it doesn't work that way.  If you'll f* someone for any amount of money, you've already established that you're a whore; everything else is just negotiating over price.   Same deal with the quoted model... she's shown that she doesn't care about her "reputation" as long as she gets what she wants.

models get naked all the time, the farther up the food chain you go the fewer hangups they have. v is a nice magazine and far far far far from the only place where 'top' models have nude pictures.
anyone heard of europe or new york?

It barely warrants a chuckle. I've seen a lot of this. And you're wrong, the majority of working models don't get naked and certainly don't have a need to get naked all the time to further their careers. I certainly don't have anything against nudity. I shot 3 fashion nudes last weekend. It's clear to me the model is responding to a lot of requests for nudes under the guise of fashion by photographers who are not qualified to execute so she has set the bar high to filter out those requests. It's no different than a model saying I will only pose nude for Playboy. The fact that top models in the world pose naked for top magazines and photographers around the world really has no bearing on the request for nudes she's getting from Joe photographer from Chattanooga, TN who gives her a wife beater and a plastic flower from Walmart and calls it fashion nudes.

I'll have you know, I give my models t-shirts from K-Mart and genuine silk flowers that I buy from a guy on the street!  So there!

If you're in NY, you can use Walmart wife beaters and plastic flowers. Models give more weight to your geography. Call it art and you won't have to spend a dime.

I feel that she means that she'll do that type of stuff for the well known professional photographer, but not the no names.  Kinda makes sense in a way.

Edit: I will do implied for 1 photographer I worked with because he is a professional and not a GWC like a lot of photographers on this site.

Everyone has a price.

I watched some normally calm housewives act like hoochie mamas to have the opportunity to fuck a move star.  For real I was standing there with him, bodyguard and these 30/40 years old trying to be first to offer a slurp.

People do shit all the time they swear they wont.

At a dinner party one night, a drunk Winston Churchill asked an attractive woman whether she would sleep with him for a million pounds. “Maybe,” the woman said coyly. “Would you sleep with me for one pound?” Churchill then asked. “Of course not, what kind of woman do you think I am?” the woman responded indignantly. “Madam, we’ve already established what kind of woman you are,” said Churchill, “now we’re just negotiating the price.”
