I love short models :)
I am sick with a cold and can't sleep  I decided to dedicate this thread to all the sucessful and determined short models on mm and beyond. This business is very hard and esp if you lack in height. My hat goes off to all of you who keep following your dreams! I have seen some wonderful shorties who are making a name for themself on this site. If she has a nice body, I don't care how tall or short she is 0 - I am not shooting fashion here. Most of the best models I worked with are 5' 5" or under. For me, doing glamour and nudes, height is not important, I've worked with fantastic tall models as well. I'm 5 foot 1" and fully realize that I can't walk a runway, but I have other assets to bring to the table and I incorporate modeling as much as possible into my other line of work - costume design. So far it has worked out great and I appreciate being given opportunities in this business despite my short statue. Nov 04 08 10:00 am Link I love models of all shapes and sizes. Nov 04 08 10:04 am Link Any Petite models in the NYC area looking for an agency, come try out mine...www.flauntmodels.com The agents are wonderful and they have a HUGE petite division. There are other agencies as well such as The Fitting Room (thefittingroom.com) and Crown Models (crownmodels.com) that have petite divisions. From my experience, commercial is the way to go if you're "short" (like under 5'8 in modeling). I've been pretty successful at commercial work, although there are times where you can get lucky and get some good fashion work.
