And I know that bothe the 17 and 25 need major winter maintance to be done before the 2010 Airshow Season starts. Nov 16 09 07:09 pm Link The original yaf is in Willow Run, but their hanger burnt down; so they were borrowing a hanger to store things in; which is now getting revamped; So now they are storing the planes out in Detroit while the hanger is getting revamped and will be there until April when the hanger is done. Yet the offices are still in Ypsi. I will discuss with Ms. Frink about possibly seeing how the layout of the planes are in there; and if we can't get a few pulled out if its a nice day so the full lay of the plane can be viewed without others interrupting the shot. All your questions will be answered tom.. Patience young jedi's... lol. Nov 16 09 09:56 pm Link Interested...!!! Please keep me posted. This is a once in a lifetime oportunity I can't miss. Hopefully she will take me out there to get some preview shots of the areas. There are so many details I now know that I want to say but thats her job BTW: Clint... I want to share my good news! *Stands up on Soapbox* Here ye.. here ye I have your answers....*....drum roll....* *The Shoot will take place at Grosse Ile over by Detroit... NOT YPSILANTI.. I would like to have everyone registered and checked in so i can get some shooting in also *The museum is asking for a donation, so given the numbers that have showed interest and amount they have asked for; admission is going to be $30 for both photographers and models. MUAs and stylists are of course pardoned; as long as you stick to your roles. **My contact said Nudes will be ok; but she has to get it approved by the board-so she is emailing them; and I will hear back from her shortly; More then likely yes. *I will be updating the 1st post to show all this information and starting a participation list... so start giving me your yes's; Being interested doesn't count anymore. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yankee Air Museumâs Features for the December 2009 Group Shoot Yankee Friendship Yellow Stinson *Shooting area around exterior on the ground shooting, no interior or on top of Plane areas. ```````````````````````````````` Yankee Doodle Dandy C-47 Transport-White Cap *Shooting area around exterior on the ground shooting, âPossibleâ interior, and âpossible on top of Plane Areas ``````````````````````````````````` Yankee Warrior B-25 Dolittle Raider *Shooting area around exterior on the ground shooting, âPossibleâ interior, and âpossible on top of Plane Areas ``````````````````````````````````` ~Best for Last~ Yankee Lady B-17 WWII Bomber *2010 will be its 75th anniversary *Shooting area around exterior on the ground shooting, Interior cockpit, Interior Bombay Doors Foot Bridge, Front Nose Glass, and also Belly Turret. ````````````````````````````````````` There will be time slot schedules for the specific shooting areas on the B-17, and also the other planes. So we arenât shooting on top of each other. There is the whole other half of the hanger that can be utilized; as well as the outside of the hanger. I am currently waiting on contact from Airport Manager as to possibility of using other historic areas of the airport. *Message me as to areas wanted for what time slots.. That schedule will be available for selection once I have the areas confirmed and I will hopefully be getting pictures taken this week. I have one main picture of the hanger of which I will be getting scanned in tonight or tomorrow to show of the beauties. But for now here is a link to the planes pictures and history http://www.yankeeairmuseum.org/historic-aircraft.html There will also be a bulldog walking around the area enforcing the posted rules. And to help with safety around the planes, certain areas cannot be walked on, or put pressure on. Best believe that there is a "If you bend it you buy it" policy in effect. And these items are priceless! ************************************************ **Yankee Air Museum has asked that no alteration what so ever is done regarding the nose art on the planes; no replacing art piece, or deleting. **Also EVERY final picture must and will have the Yankee Air Museum Logo somewhere on the photograph, whether printed or digitally displayed. ************************************************ Also as a general courtesy YAM has asked if we can send back a few examples of our work; when at the end of your developing stages you find a awesome photograph that displays your work well, if you could arrange to have the file sent to my (ILLIANA) email address I will then print and package them to take them over to their office. [email protected] This is our first impression to the museum so letâs make it a great one so we can be welcomed back in the spring when their new Museum opens! Nov 17 09 04:16 pm Link Didn't see anything about nudes in there... Nov 17 09 04:19 pm Link Sorry I added it in there... Nov 17 09 06:04 pm Link ya, im a dork... ill be there anyway even if i only shoot 2 or 3 Nov 17 09 06:13 pm Link Hi Illiana, Great News, now I would like to chime in on all of these aircraft and some items you need to talk to the museum about and some heads up on some stuff you might encounter. I'll start with Yankee Lady(B-17) ask the staff if they will wipe down the Main's (Tires) and the lower Strut so your models won't get any oil and grease on them. next ask them if they are going to remove the Pitol Cover(s). Now onto the inside of the 17 for those who have never been inside of one it starts out narrow and gets wider after the Radio room. See if they will open up the Bombbay doors for you if so may I suggest you have some lights shinning up thru the Bombbay to give your photogos some lighting. If not then I suggest that you don't try to shot in the Catwalk of the Bombbay unless you plan on using Flash. The Radio Room is roomy enough to have two models in it one at the Radio Station and another in the jump seat. going into the Waist Postion this is where you can have lots of fun folks. Make sure you get a walk thru before you let folks go in so you know about walking around the Ball Turret. Models word of advice while walking thru the 17 bring a pair of slip on flats these planes were build for War and while their is a track walk it can be slippery to walk around in heals. One other item I see you are going to be able to shot in the nose FYI the only way you can get into the nose is to crawl down the tunnel something to think about. Now onto the Yankee Warrior (B-25) once again make sure you ask the staff to wipe down the Mains and also make sure that the oil reliefs on the engines are plugged don't want to have oil dripping on anyone. Since there is a chance of you shooting inside. the only two areas to shot is the cockpit area and the waist positions. the cockpit is a drop down ladder and once again models bring slip on for getting in and out of the 25. The Waist position has the same type of drop down ladder, while you can get three or four folks into this are I suggest break it up into two or three groups at a time do to the fact there isn't much room to move around inside the Waist/Tail section of the 25. Now for Yankee Doodle (C-47) as I said before ask the staff for a wipe down on the Main's and strut along with around the engine's. If they don't let you inside see if they will open the Air Stairs to use it as a backdrop. One other item about the C-47 watch for the antennas under the nose on the pilot side of the nose running down to about a third of the way down. Now for Yankee Friendship (The Stinson) this plane is fabric covered airframe so before you start doing photo's make sure you have the staff tell you were you can lean and place you hands. A few other items I would like to point out for you, 1. Before you start the shot may I suggest you have someone from the staff walk everyone around the planes to point out stuff. 2. If you plan on using Lights make sure you set them up before you start having folks moving around and leave them in position Finally ask YAM if the plane captain will be there to help if Mike Luther (YAM Airshow Boss) shows up you should ask him about arranging a gathering during Thunder over Michigan this years main theme is the B-17 Anv. and they are shooting to get all the US Based Airworthy 17 there. Finally have fun and if their is anything I can do to help just ask. Nov 17 09 06:59 pm Link Sounds like fun and i can do this shoot and have oodles of time to get to Cleveland for Jose's show (if i can afford both which i think i can) So i am gonna go ahead and say... IN! Nov 17 09 07:12 pm Link I'm in for sure and I will help start spreading the word as well. Nov 17 09 09:22 pm Link Its a little off topic, but more people know me here than most places... Does anyone have a PW Mulitmax that I can borrow for a shoot. I want to do a rear curtian sync with my strobes and I have heard that the multimax can delay the strobe fire but with out knowing for sure I don't want to spend the $350 to find out. I already have the other trancievers I need and they dont work. I have changed CF-15 with no aparent effect. So if there are any other wizard users out there that can shed some light I would apreciate it. PM me if you have any other ideas... Now back to your regular programming... Nov 17 09 10:39 pm Link List is updated! I need your definite yes's people; I'm not adding people who responded earlier in the thread. I'm very excited! And I just went out and bought my uniform hat and scaf today Call me Miss. Layover! I'm going to give you a tentative yes, as long as I find two or three models that are willing to work with me. I don't know yet what I'll shoot, but I will be looking for models willing to get nude (partial, full, implied) if the scene we create together calls for it. Anyone that might be interested in shooting with me (and preferably people I have not worked with before, as I want some fresh faces), please feel free to contact me if you think you might be interested in collaborating!
