To all who asked, this is NOT an organized Shoot-Out!
The is NO requirment to provide any professional services at this event. This is PRIMARY an oppertunity to meet, network and hang out with other professionals.
If models want pictures and photographers want to shoot, then spaces and setups are available. But everyone should feel free to say "NO" to any request. Details of any shoot will be left to the participants. Releases and other documents are your responability.
Make Up Artists, Stylists, Designers, Photoshop Wizards, etc. will be on hand to show off their skills but they also have no responsibility to provide services without compensatsion.
Please do not harass anyone about shooting. If they say no, please respect their wishes. Anyone seen engaging in such activity will be asked to leave immediately.
Many models who want to work with as many people as they can, and there will be models who don't want any images taken, or will require payment for their services.
The MUAs who provide services should be compensated, as it costs them money just to apply even the simplest make-up.
Everyone come out and socialize! This is all about having fun in a no stress environment, and meet all the other artists. But remember that we are Artists and Professionals and treat each other accordingly.
Notes to the under 21 and under 18 attendees:
No minors will be allowed into the studio without a parent or legal guardian present.
Believe it or not, I'm one of the few who hasn't made the trek to enjoy this yet. Too early to say for sure, but this may well be the year for that. I know it's a great time!
I'm also taking bookings around the meet and greet date already.... I book up fast, but since it's so far out, I haven't bought the plane ticket. I could be in DC for a month if you all want me

ok folks we are doing it again but this time lets blow up rockville we are with in walking distance of metro and I mean I could throw a golf ball to the metro door really. parking out the wazoo. 5000 sq feet of studio and a great alley to shoot in and a great dark and dreay hall to shoot in.
