Well, considering you're QUOTING SOURCES from the INTERNET to somehow VALIDATE your outlandish and ludicrous accusations, one could get the impression you do.

That was just a quick resource. My research is done mostly through other means than the net.

Yet you failed to present that "evidence" you unearthed. I would just LOVE to see this so-called "research" you did on the matter.

Actually, yes, it does. Why, you ask? Because you actually think that those publications have ANY bearing WHATSOEVER on the PLACES our COUNTRY is going. Are you hearing yourself? What PLACES are those? What are you even TALKING about??

I prefer playboy because it has been around for a long time and is a legit company.

Penthouse has been around since 1965, and Hustler since 1974, I'd say they qualify as legit companies.

Dude, if you can't even get his name right (Dr. Alfred Kinsey, not Kensey) it calls your other "research" into question.  And since Kinsey died in 1956 and Hustler was first published in 1974 it's a bit hard to imagine how they worked closely together in the 60s.

With apologies to the wonderful playboy models I know (and have shot). I don't prefer any of them.

I find them all boring. Not the style of photography I like. Not the style of porn I like. Frankly I'm surprised anybody actually *buys* magazine porn/skin any more.

Of the three, I prefer Hustler, more specifically, Hustler Taboo. Practically fell in love with the first Taboo issue I saw...

As for the OP, I find much better and more interesting work on MM than I do in any of those magazines.  A simple browse of portfolios in my region reveals more creativity and diversity than the histories of those three magazines combined.  Of course, MM lacks the articles... but it has forums!

But where is the evidence for the magazine playing a "huge roll ... in child molestation becoming so wide spread?"

Links please. Your word is no good after your hyperbolic claim.

And who the heck is this Kensey you're referring to?  big_smile

Depends on who's doing what to whom and why.

I don't buy any of them; unless a model I  know is in them, or there's an article I must have.

Ummm??? Statistically?

There's no mention of statistics, it's just a list thrown together by a bunch of nuts working for an uber conservative magazine threw together.

The author of the blog that you used to 'source' your 'evidence' from also goes on to lambaste the list for including Sexual Behaviour... when it obviously has no place being mentioned there.

On another note who is this Kensey guy that you keep talking about?  Did he know Alfred Kinsey or something?

Generally, when I research something ITRW, as you say you almost always do, I find it helps to at least be able to spell the name of the person I am researching in order to find any relevant material.  I guess when you just make stuff up it's not as important though.

By the way, you're thinking of Penthouse magazine and their spread of Traci Lords when she was only 15.  As she posed alone, I'm not really sure how that is molestation.

Also, she was a fairly well known porn-star widely though to be above 18 years old for a long time before and after she posed for Penthouse, so it's not like Bob Guiccione went out of his way to cause 'child molestation to become so wide spread'.

You are linking to a nutty revelations website, and you post a list of "harmful books" according to the hard conservative periodical "Human Events".

Dude, you're outing yourself a bit there... lol

Fundamentalist? Pentecostal? wink

I'm not trying to ridicule you, just letting you know that what you've posted is extreeeemely biased and taken out of context to serve that bias.

Penthouse, because I read on the internets the other two magazines kick puppies.

Honestly, all three have had their strong and weak points.  Penthouse had a period of absolutely exceptional photo work. Playboy had a period of absolutely exceptional journalism.  Hustler's publisher has been instrumental in the advancement of freedom of speech.  But I haven't bother looking at any of them in years.
