Not sure my wife and daughter will like it, but hey more the merrier Thanks for the offer Scott, but I don't want to cause you any discord with the family. Besides, I'll most likely be with the family unit anyway. I was thinking a more permanent solution. Though the property search has stalled due to nana's illness. Mom's BF is finding properties for me, but I just don't have the time to go check them out. So many good deals passing me by.

What Herbie said and two.. what the putz says in his profile. They don't expect to work on the cheap, yet are asking some one to do so especially with product photography that takes a certain skill set. Pushing a button with a hot chick in front of you is one thing. But lighting something like a gift basket so the shadows aren't too strong, the stuff in the basket is recognizable, the lighting isn't over powered, highlights have to be right, shadows, midtones. Hell I have done some product stuff where it takes 2 hours just to get the lights right because of reflections. I yes I called the idiot in the casting - well now and idiot - a putz. It's as bad as some ugly-ass, non-experienced models out thinking they deserve $100/hr.. like this moron with this casting are they fucking kidding me ?? Ok, I feel better now...

I understand the points made, yes the guy may be an idiot.. yes the prices may be way out of whack but, again why does that concern us here in Central Florida? The listing is, after all, 800 some odd miles away.

Like many others in here, I use to shoot a ton of product, so unless you done it before and knows what actually is involved in it...you won't see the irony!

The listing is, after all, 800 some odd miles away. Because the reality is Mark, it's happening here, too. Too many people think what we as photographers is so damn simple and ANYONE with a digital camera can do so they put little to no value on the skills needed. Most who do this, when asked why they don't do it, reply with "I don't know how.". Well, if it's so damn easy, why don't you know how to do it?? I've done some product stuff and it's not easy. I wouldn't even say I do it well, but I understand what it takes to do it well. This asshat doesn't and with the attitude he shows in his profile, just makes him a bigger asshat. A professed newb but he's going to charge you like someone with years of experience because he gives it his all!! And the sad thing, there are too many businesses that think they can pay squat for work like this just because it's digital. Because all we do is push a button.

Yes, there are some excellent photographers that don't shoot for money who turn out some killer images. But on the commercial side and where there is a VERY high level of stress and opportunity to re-do, it's pretty true..

All depends on what is 'great work'. For example, I think Picasso work is garbage, however to others it's a 'master piece' I dunno. -shrugs- I don't personally agree with it.
