So many good shots so I convert all shots that are not bad to JPG and share with models so they can have and hold from this day forward and can assist with deciding what to post, if any. I know some togs just decide what they give but that's not yet my style. One of my goals is education. I perceive there is value in knowing what not to do as well as what to do. So my m.o. on a TF* shoot is to share all. I know there is danger that a model may post bad images but they have a vested interest in proper impression management! I've not had a problem yet.

Example, if I rate all images from this trip and a particular loom has only one 5-star and all the others are 4 or below, in 3 years I want the software to automatically pop up and ask if I want to delete RAWs for 4-star and lower so that I can recover the space. Does such feature exist? If so, how do I find it? If not, how do I request it? Not that I am aware of. However like I said it's metadata stored in a file. Therefore it should be relatively easily enough to write a script to scan the file and delete where date and flag meet your criteria.

You can sort by rating in Lightroom (library filter, attributes) , select all and then press the delete button on your keyboard

C.C. Holdings wrote: You can sort by rating in Lightroom (library filter, attributes) , select all and then press the delete button on your keyboard But can I preprogram that for that to automatically disappear at X date? Or to get more sophisticated: after X date or X time period? Eg if I haven't touched a file in 3 years and it's greater than Sept 9, 2015, and it's rated 3 stars or fewer, then just delete, 4 stars, pop up for review. Haven't seen any such option. Ira says no such thing. So instead of looking for files to safely delete so I could fit this trip in, I upgraded from 500 GB to 1 TB. Failureq to find a feature such as I seek is not merely inconvenient but expensive! :-) Later, I want to seriously readdress buying-the-boat idea! :-) After actual encounters with security, I can see that such suggestion does have increased merit! And now, back to our regularly scheduled program of images...:-)

Then...use one of the many freeware file naming tools to sort by the suffix when you need space...and then delete or Blu-ray them.

Let the model breath! :-) I sincerely hope that no models were harmed in the production of these pictures and achievement of the prime directive! No physical, emotional, financial, legal, etc. harm. I know some got battered on the rocks by the waves, and incurred financial obligations, but hope no permanent damage has been done.

When I found these red boots planted in my baggage I should have remembered this shot and immediately suspected Gary of secreting them in my luggage! :-) But my limited cognitive capacity precluded me from connecting those dots. Admittedly this was way back on page 38 https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thre … 77&page=38 Eventually he "confessed" and got his red boots back! :-)

My first photoshoot cruise and I am really looking forward to it. Can't wait to meet you all and have a blast. I'll be sponsoring Amelia Simone #2277933 so she will be able to take part after all. Psyched or what! John Good man, good model! [I'm searching for some other post but came across this on page 31 and thought I'd comment since I didn't have free Internet on board to keep up].

I was told by the receptionist that bookings for that week were pretty light... so pool 'traffic' will probably be at a minimum... From page 45. Evidently not lightly enough! LOL Somehow we managed to earn personna non grata status :-) [Still searching for a specific post. Is there a rapid way to sort through posts or search the entire thread for a string? Suggestion: "Let's just buy the ship and do this all the time!" Evaluation: [redacted] about $700 million http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnival_Splendor I have a plan that if 50% of the 70 SM cruise participants engage in, we MAY be able to buy our own boat in just 28 years! :-) LOL. * If interested, PM me for details on how we might fund our own craft. * Of course the model mix may change ever so slightly by that time but at least no matter who the models are, if we own the ship then, Security wouldn't come to try to get our IDs when shooting on their mini-golf green.
