How many DVD's do you own?
I'm going to count mine tonight and report back . Curious though about others collections. Jan 03 13 01:31 pm Link i'll go count mine right now... Jan 03 13 01:37 pm Link i have nine. edit: we're talking about movies on DVD right? cause i have like half a pack of blank data DVDs left. Jan 03 13 01:37 pm Link 75-100. I ain't gonna count them. Jan 03 13 01:40 pm Link Yes Paolo - movies. I'm going to catalog mine when I have time. I figured others might already have theirs cataloged. Jan 03 13 01:46 pm Link I have both DVD and BluRay. I don't know how many. Jan 03 13 01:53 pm Link Roughly 150, but that includes Wii and Xbox games. Jan 03 13 02:07 pm Link Much to my wife's dismay probably 300-400. I've been collecting movies since the format came out and have a hard time getting rid of them (even the really bad ones). Jan 03 13 02:13 pm Link Does a personal copy count? Jan 03 13 02:14 pm Link Far fewer now that I'm converting my archive to digital files. 66 movies and counting. I'd say I have another 50 discs or so Jan 03 13 02:17 pm Link After we moved from Australia and I got a job in a video store my collection is severely depleted I have about 40-50. Some of those are pack of 3 dvd's or boxsets etc. though so it's probably a bit more than that if you count actual films vs. boxes. Jan 03 13 02:22 pm Link Under 10, all gifts. I learned from VHS there was no point in buying, the format was always going to change. Jan 03 13 02:25 pm Link hmm, I categorize mine into genres...er mainly because most are stored away in boxes...but when last counted a few years back it topped 500...i pretty sure it has grown considerably since then...now started adding blue -ray. Jan 03 13 02:34 pm Link About 350 DVDs About 50 Blu-rays Jan 03 13 03:18 pm Link Personaly, between half to a douzen. My partnerner, roughly over 100. Jan 03 13 03:20 pm Link We actually own Zero.. Guess we adopted a find it elsewhere (legally) attitude a long time ago... Jan 03 13 03:22 pm Link Maybe 5, one or two of which came free with the purchase of the player (which I use to connect to the Internet services now). Jan 03 13 03:26 pm Link I have maybe 30. My boyfriend has over 1200. Jan 03 13 04:58 pm Link 0 Jan 03 13 04:59 pm Link about 600 Jan 03 13 04:59 pm Link probably less than 50, unless i count tv show seasons, which i don't think counts lol i'm pretty boring about movies, i only like to buy ones that i love Jan 03 13 06:33 pm Link counting tv series sets as individual dvds, I have around 1,000. Looking at the answers above makes me think I need to find better things to do with my time lol Jan 03 13 07:23 pm Link 27 Jan 03 13 07:25 pm Link There were 42 in the first shelf-thingie, multiplication says at least 630 of them. But there is a huge pile on the couch right now, too. Oh, and I didn't even think of the Max Headroom set which got left in the bathroom one day and not returned. Jan 03 13 07:39 pm Link I stopped collecting them years ago. I gave away about 40 and sold the rest for $1 each. The chances of me watching the same one over the next year is very slim. Jan 03 13 07:41 pm Link Post purge, 20ish. Jan 03 13 08:04 pm Link I just bought about 400. They're all blank. cost me about $30 Jan 03 13 08:10 pm Link Like 5 or 6...I had more but I gave back all the ones I stole from my parents when I moved on my own. Jan 03 13 08:10 pm Link About 250 on the shelves. Probably 100 more in the garage. Jan 03 13 08:11 pm Link about 300 in the living room cabinet, 150 in the kid's rec room, and a 25 gallon tote in the basement. lol. *estimated, had to look up the storage limits of each cabinet online. they are both stuffed! Jan 03 13 08:25 pm Link Zero. It never made sense to me to buy them. Jan 03 13 08:41 pm Link What Fun Productions wrote: When you don't have cable, it makes sense. Jan 03 13 08:45 pm Link 2 - and that was because they were $1 and goodwill needed a $5 minimum order to use a debit card. My cousin, though... has a problem: The downstairs is even worse. Jan 03 13 08:48 pm Link Mine are all in storage now so I can't count. But I think less than 30. (Both DVD and blu ray). I haven't bought one in years. With digital downloads/rentals and streaming being the norm now I just don't see the point. Though if I'm honest I do miss the DVD extras and commentaries now and again. Jan 03 13 09:37 pm Link 33 Jan 03 13 09:39 pm Link Less than 5. Wait -- do I have to count the porn? Seriously -- I have very few, and I never watch them. I actually should have more (as a music publisher, I really should have more -- I should have copies of all the movies & TV shows (domestic & foreign) that use my songs. If I did, I'd have several hundred DVDs. So, a follow up question for those with large collections -- how often do you watch these DVDs? There are very, very few movies / shows I'd watch more than once. Jan 04 13 09:43 am Link I have an entire wall of DVDs, near a thousand. My boyfriend has a bit of a DVD Fetish. Jan 04 13 10:58 am Link I'm not going to count them right now, but I would estimate 200-300. Jan 04 13 11:01 am Link Jordan Bunniie wrote: Pics or stfu jk Jan 04 13 11:12 am Link I stopped counting around 1400 but suspect I have close to 2000. Most of them are in dvd binder/cases in alphabetical order .... seems to work fairly well as a system, but I need to invent a rack system where they slide on a pole and can be easily pulled and replaced. I think I have about 800 movies on hard drives. Yes, I may be a bit excessive! lol Jan 04 13 11:50 am Link |
