You have the black thugs.

You have the victimized white chick.

You have a talking goat.

You have the white cops.

The goat name is Felicia and she talks like a black (male) pimp in a 70's blacksploitation film. ninja

Does it make you want a mountain dew?

It also provides something to talk about....good marketing?

I'm just wondering if that's a parody or an actual commercial that Mt Dew has signed off on?

Oh, maybe that's what it is. I just came across it on FB and shared it. I'm not protesting or even outraged. More curious as to why, then anything.

Wondering the same thing.
Or maybe it was a demo from a small creative shop.

This link is still working for the time being.

Pepsi is trying to get every frame of it on Earth destroyed. It is being called "The most racists commercial ever." I didn't care for it but I'm not the target demo.

Taking this thing way too far it bothers me the goat said "Snitches get stiches". It reminds me of the "Don't Snitch" zeitgeist of a few years ago. That was real and it was disappointing. The goat is a commercial. But it seems to have crossed the always moving line and it is the ad failure of the week.

Weird.

So these commercials are all bizarre scenarios that make a person say the word "Dew" (which we assume is "do") over and over again?

Pepsi Company was stupid to have given it the okay, but they are hiding behind the black rapper, wrote and produced it.

Yeah, the "snitches get stitches" line is disgusting and plays into the "don't snitch" policy while the killings in many communities would end if people weren't so afraid to report crimes.  Not good!

Nope, not created by an advertising agency. It was created by a rapper.

African-American rapper Tyler, the Creator, developed the 60-second spot in which a battered white woman on crutches is urged by an officer to identify a suspect out of a lineup of black men. A talking goat named Felicia is included in the lineup. The goat makes threatening remarks to the woman, including, "Keep ya mouth shut."

PepsiCo's Mountain Dew brand isn't handled by an agency?

PepsiCo didn't sign off on the ad?

Or was it a spec ad?

The video is here and the racist comments below the video are beyond sad. Doesn't matter how hard working and successful you are, if you're black in the eyes of many...you're a lazy thug.
