flash in the pan models
Just curious. I wonder what percentage of new female models never post any pictures after posting the initial group of pictures they start with. I suspect it is especially high with the - paid assignments only - no experience - no nudes - crowd. I guess some people just never figure out how to use the site or they end up forgetting about it. I don't have any pictures up from when I first signed up for MM (but back then I wasn't that serious about pursuing modeling and I barely knew how to use the site so all of my pictures were just "selfies". I didn't even start using it again until maybe September of last year when I started figuring out what I wanted to do. I've had this profile since 2011). But I have come across people who still use this site occasionally yet still only have pictures up from 2 years ago...one of them being someone I was supposed to work with, yet never confirmed with our shoot date with me and nothing was said the day that it was supposed to happen. Jul 07 13 05:47 pm Link As an *aspiring* myself - newbie through and through - I can tell you that so far I've discovered there are so many different ways to even BEGIN in an approach to modelling that it isn't really fair to assume everyone should be using sites like this the same way. Some people will use the site soley as an e-portfolio to direct people to, some will come on for the social aspect of the forums, some will focus on direct networking and use the browse function alot. Not all of these activities require regular maintenance. Me, I'm hoping MM can help me make a steady start to build up a portfolio and work from there. If I get paid in the end, good for me I'm *pro,* and if I don't then I'm having alot of fun. Not contributing constantly to MM doesn't mean people aren't willing to work hard to be a model, perhaps they're actually just out there... working hard at becoming a model. I have some photos that are NEVER coming down from this account, but at the same time, I occasionally change up the more recent photos because I'm not as satisfied with them. Most of my modeling pics are on my facebook. Working on uploading a deviantart account with my best photos from each shoot. No "instant success" and they're out of here - off to something else that catches their fleeting fancy. Few today want to put much effort into anything. You can easily find the exceptions to the rule. They stand out.
