Heh, I suspect that's giving more credit than is due.  Whenever anybody dredges up an old thread only to post something spectacularly banal, I imagine them aimlessly scrolling through page after page of the archives looking for something to get a rise with rather than pointedly searching for something.

But when I mused about that on Facebook, a newbie decided to use my post as a "hi Im a newbie…uh…now what?" thread. So I have a new hypothesis.
