I'm pretty sure the photographer is nude.  I could have been doing it wrong all this time.  But I'm most likely sure I'm right.

That's better, I thought I'd got it right. And a point and click is mandatory, I hear?

I tell you what is worse, I had an agency girl turn up an hour early just because I'd written the time down wrong in my diary, how inconsiderate is that? And another time a model had the cheek to leave her work to turn up on my doorstep for a test a whole 45 minutes after I'd rang the agency asking if there was anyone available. That sort of thing can really ruin your day.

It just gets to hot wearing clothes with all those lights on. Thinking of using cool HMI's.

This one time, I had a calm discussion with someone about the terms of a TFP, after which we both signed an amended contract.

Totally ruined my day.

I once had a model show up (ON TIME), do a great job ... then, when I was complete shooting all 2000 photos during our 1/2 hour set, she insisted on rolling up the cords.

I am SO glad all this stuff happens to you people to. I had a model take me out for dinner after a shoot once.

All the time I kept saying to myself "how dare she"..

I've had numerous positive experiences on Model Mayhem.  I chatted with a model who thought she was only built for Pinup the other.  I told her she would look great in swimwear or fashion shot.  The next day she uploaded some nice bikini, lingerie and high-fashion pics to her port.  The positive contact has been overwhelming, so it make the negatives standout even more.  It seems I lept before I looked and whined in the wrong forum.

Similar models taking me out for a drink before and after a shoot and ! they got the drinks in.
I was introduced to Tequila slammers.

NB. these were not web models.

Here's a topper - I had a model actually show up - - With her own ideas!  Yep! right there in my living room, she had the nerve to suggest some really creative and brilliant things.

I just gathered up my things and walked out - slammed the door too - -

Then realized it was my house I was storming out of. . .

So I went and shot her ideas and they made MY ideas look like used dog chow - Just can't believe that I shot with her about 18 times after that.

Sheesh - Models . . .  .

And on TIME even!  What the hell?!  I don't know where she gets off acting like that!  Then, to top it off, she ticked off every pose I asked for, just like clockwork.

Now I probably shouldn't admit it, but this has happened to me several times, not only with myspace, but with MM models too.  I know, you're probably all asking how many times it takes me to learn my lesson.  I guess I'm just a sucker.  How can I avoid this in the future?

Someone really needs to tell these freaking web models to quit acting like responsible professionals!  Models, take some advice: if you wannabe a web model, you better flake like you mean it.  Otherwise no one will ever take you seriously!  When I go to the web for a model, I expect a flake, and I'm getting really sick of being disappointed.

Hey Tim!  Sorry about your problems ... and you're in Alaska! It's even worse here in California!  I've never had any models flake out on me .. a few late ones but they called.  I've never had a problem with escorts ... stuffing them into the trunk works quite well.  I have nothing to complain about except most of the Internet models I've met "Rock" my World!  tongue

You've got a great sense of humor and I'm sure the models enjoy working with you.
Best wishes to you!

One model, four kinos, 10 polyboards built into a light tent. 20 minutes shooting. And she had the nerve to be at the studio for 9am and not be shot until 5pm and be paid. I tell you, this world is going to hell in a handbasket. Or maybe a backpack.

But it gets worse, a model of myspace came round, we spent 5 minutes shooting, got some great headshots they get me accepted by one of London's top fashion agencies. And then she had the nerve to ask if she could come back to be shot again. How very dare she.

Ya know, Tim, I can sympathize with you.  I mean, it's been happening a lot with me.  I set up a shoot and think I'll have a nice easy day at home watching DVDs or otherwise goofing off and the damn model shows up--often on time.  Throws off my goofing around all day completely.

Now next week I have a shoot with Iona Lynn.  I know exactly what's gonna happen, too.  I'm gonna go to the location and she'll be there.  And then I'll actually have to work for a couple of hours.

Why can't these damn models learn to flake more often?  Ruins any chance of bitching about them completely!  I tell ya, they got their crust!

Myspace owns MM for finding reliable models who actually PAY. Everyone expects TFBullshit on MM or wants to be paid and thats if they dont flake.

May I make a suggestion?  Get off MM and go to Myspace then for all your models?

Good to see someone being positive - the majority of people on here are good folk,  but the noise tends to focus on the negative.

Great thread!!
An observation....I can really relate as I had 3 shoots last week (all nude)  2 were getting paid and both flaked out in the 11th hour and the one that was doing a freebie. The freebie (bless her heart)  showed up and acted just like your model. What's the modeling world coming to? Go Figure...
* BYW I gave the 'freebie' girl several job$ since, professionalism does pay off now and then:)

I must be a moron, because I get about a 50% No Show rate on paid shoots. About a 20% NS on TF**.
