bombshell wrote: me please if you have time I must say you look great.. Your height may be a problem for you in the long run but that should not stop you.. The top of your page is way stronger than the last few shots.. I would say keep shooting and try and work with the best photogs you know.. Stay away from the GWC's, and try and work more with MUA's and hairstylist.. all the best JOHN

Melissa Wiggins wrote: I would love some!!! Thanks! Melissa Hey Melissa.. I would say you are off to a good start... I like the last 5 or so shots in your portfolio... They are so much more professional and pleasing to look at than the rest.. You look great the shots are just ok.. Your face and smile are wonderful, and you have a great body no doubt and I am sure you know this or get that all the time.LOL. the only thing i would say is that you should try and work with more pro photogs and be selective to what you shoot, you have the body and look to be that way. I would say you should work more on your facial expressions as in the end I feel that it is the face that makes the shot. Be more engaging to the camera. I wish you all the best.. JOHN

IHB Photography wrote: hit me - no studio here. Hi.. I cant really comment to much as your type of photography has its place.. I get a feeling like this is a side job or hobby for you. Some of the photoshop work is bad in my opinion, and I am just being honest. I think you know how to take a better than average picture and are good at that. All the best JOHN

I think you could do other type of work besides these Goth, Tat, Alt style shots, as you have a great face . The third shot in your portfolio is beautiful 13 and 15 are also very nice and stunning to me.. Keep up the shooting and dont be afraid to try diff styles of work... All the best JOHN

tigerfist wrote: ok You do a lot of series comps, with 3-4 pix. Not sure why you stopped - if that is your thing, might as well do it for all of them. This is the most effective use of the series comp, you take the viewer on a little story ride. I like this one too - not sure if it is supposed to be heresy - but i like to think that it is - yay heresy!!!! The newer shots are solo shots, which could be a good change for you, but the images themselves are not a dramatic style shift - so they just feel kind of alone with out their little series friends. I like #5 too - would like to see more shots of your models, get in closer like that one. Use that camera to make a connection to the model - does not always have to be about the scene. later!

I think you are good and have an eye, and have a great set of models you work with, but i see a lack of creativity in your work. I think for me it would be the lighting. Dont be afraid to try diff styles of lighting. Lighting is what photography, and you are good at it dont get me wrong, but just try some different things. All the best JOHN

Hitting Mark now.... Mark, Really really solid work my man. Some high stylin' going on, some cinematic role playing, and some good body shots too. Great variety - the way it should be in a portfolio. KILLER > SPOT ON > and you look dapper in the vest & tie too. Some close up shots, basic 3/4 shots, and some pull backs where you work the setting - and work it with other models too. #2, 4, 7 are all really nice. If I had to pick a weak shot too axe - it would be #15 - good to show off the back, but the shot does not have the image quality in line with the others - does nothing to add to your page. Rock on!

And this is a stand out, much more casual and happy then the others - nice to see you can do light & cheer as well as the dark & dour (which you do quite well.) You have a really consistent look in your work, very high quality. And you come as someone that gets into the vision of the photographer and helps create - not just pose. Who can ask for more than that. #4, 11 & 12 are also big Favs of mine from the page. to sum up - some hauntingly beautiful images - cheers!

All of your other work is so perfect and beautiful that this just takes away from the rest . Lose it...I am sure you have something to replace it with. All the best John
