I am really surprised that this thread is still here.  First, why is it in the Newbie section when it has nothing to do with Newbies?  Then, it is slowly becoming a trainwreck.

Next, I thought this site was for photographers, etc.  When did a category of videographers come about?  I also wonder what the OP is hiding in the first two rows of images as you can tell he placed his name over something.

So back to the topic, OP I doubt if you will ever find any models on this site to work with you.  Not due to the types of images you do, but for the things you have stated.  You know how to turn models against you.

Just because someone contacts you and wants more information, does not obligate them to work with you. Making statements that if a model does not shoot with you they will be a wash up, just who in the heck are you?  I don't see any model credits under your photos, so can you provide information on all the fame your models now have due to shooting with you?  I guess all the female models on MM should cancel their account since they will soon be washed up.

So anyway, this is my 2 cents for now......

The thing about train wrecks is that people want to look away from them but can't.

This particular train wreck is especially fun to look at.

I know this from personal experience.

And even when you're offering to pay for it, some people simply don't want to do it. That's their choice. The ones who do want to do it will make it look better anyway. smile

I am seriously confused.
You claim to have been doing this since 1999 and now all of a sudden you have a model shortage.
What's been going on from 1999 - 2007.  No model problem?  This only started in 2008?
There is very little chance that you've been struggling with a model problem since 1999 and just now decided to air a complaint.
You've either changed something about your business model that is causing you grief, which means the answer is to change it back, or else you you are taking creative license with a 1999 claim.

Obviously, he needs to analyze his business plan and summarize with pie charts.

Second the recommendation for Miss Alison, talented, beautiful, professional, and one really sweet young lady.  (No, this isn't her alternate port. )

Add me to the slice of models who wouldn't work with you, OP.

Now, I typically wouldn't do your kind of work--it's just something I'm not interested in--there might be a sliver of a chance down the road that I might want a taste.  However, I wouldn't work with you.

Why?  Because in this thread you've demonstrated a crummy attitude towards models with your generalizations and name-calling.  That alone leaves a tart taste in my mouth.  A photographer with the attitude you've demonstrated here get put on the back burner when it comes to working together.

Check the temperature on your attitude--chances are, it's why you're falling flat.  If you turnover that attitude, and perhaps you'll find some girls who are willing to work with you.  I'd be willing to bet that before you were Mr. Top Chef, your attitude was lighter and fluffier than it is now.

Best of luck to you.

Can I just say that after reading all your responses I don't think I would EVER want to work with you.
secondly stop generalizing female models as if we are all one. we are not ants.
thirdly, your style is very 'unique' the amount of people who like or even want to be associated with it are few and far between. I personally would never want to do anything in that style. though you would never work with me because, as you put it I don't have 'boobs'
so be a bit more mature about things and stop moaning.

I can't resist getting in this thread, and the chance to say leebinks is gorgeous is a great place.

Oh, and I endorse the general message that, while there are problems with reliability at times, treating models with respect is pretty much always going to improve your odds of good results.

You are having problems because most models would not want the type and quality of your portfolio pictures in their own portfolio.  As is common in the fetish/porn industry-you will have to pay your models appropriately.

-Scott

I agree with the part in bold. Nowadays it doesn't matter what site your on, or the fact that you own a camera, etc. You have to have quality in what you do to stand out as a great photog with something 2 offer a model's port. It could be possible that you are not there yet.
