Reason: not helpful Comments: No need to call out a former member Jan 06 10 03:39 pm Link Umm, it drives me crazy when I tell people that I am a fetish photographer and they step back from me like I have hep C or something. Personally, I see nothing wrong with sex work as long as it is consensual and profitable. Nobody gets hurt and everybody makes a buck. AND people can then find art that shows them it's okay to do that to someone you love, whatever "that" happens to be at the time. Better have shock pills on hand before you do. Jan 06 10 03:47 pm Link I know of several Models listed here who do porn as well. The only part I don't like about it is that their rates have gone way up. Jan 06 10 03:52 pm Link MinisterC wrote: This made me giggle. Jan 06 10 03:52 pm Link Jan 06 10 03:53 pm Link To the OP: Think of it this way, if they're willing to get naked and do full adult-oriented videos, they should have no trouble doing artistic nude photographs for you. Personally, I have no trouble if an adult star wanted to work with me. I can think of a few that I would love to do artistic shoots with, both clothed and nude. Jan 06 10 03:57 pm Link Damn that evil, evil pornography..... He was really disturbed because they debased themselves. Jan 06 10 04:00 pm Link Vintagevista wrote: It makes such sense that someone who does porn would model. People pay them because they are attractive, look good naked, they are good at turning people on, and they are comfortable being on camera....why wouldn't they pursue modeling as well?? It makes perfect sense to me Jan 06 10 04:01 pm Link And dont be surprised to find that there are probably even some photographers that have done porn.. and I mean in front of the camera.. Heck.. I was once in the Advertising business.. and even was a member of SAG and did movies and commercials at one time.. not to mention that I was and still am a professional Magician. I have worn a number of different hats.. other than my photographer's hat. And yes.. I even worked for a company that produced Adult videos and DVD's... ran their computers, did still pictures for posters and boxes.. Dosent surprise me that there are models on MM that have done or do adult work.. there are even some Adult service providers on MM... so what. Really⦠Do you really care if a model that you are working with is: gay, married, has kids, what church they go to, what they study in school, or what their day-job is. Does any of it really matter? Although any of these facts can lead to great conversations. Unless it matters to the shot⦠or to the shoot, who cares? Iâve worked with people that were strippers⦠so what⦠but I knew that they would be limber. Iâve worked with people in other adult industries⦠no big deal⦠but I knew that any concept or idea that I might have would seem tame. And they would be open to at least hearing me out on it. Jan 06 10 04:05 pm Link oh, noez... not the pornz... Jan 06 10 04:07 pm Link Pterigiontuurani wrote: There's the point that came up in my own mind and I agree 100%. Jan 06 10 04:08 pm Link Another hit and run poster. Jan 06 10 04:11 pm Link This whole thread shows the psychotic nature of sex in America (I am Americvan by the way, born and raised). Sex is fine to sell everything from cars to tampons, and from food to sump pumps, and yet, "Just say no!" is still a part of the national mantra. The church takes a gift from God and uses it to guilt people into giving more money. The government uses it as a talking point to ignore the really meaningful issues and here we have a group of people, supposedly dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our world, showing how wide a gap there is in whole conversation. Question: Did you ask your last model if the they were into any other perticular "forbidden" behavior: drugs, theft, beating up old people? Did you ask if they had a partiucular fetish that they only partake of in the datrk of the night behind three locked doors? Another question: Did you ask them to oen a button, and think less of them when they did? Did you ask them to slip a hand into their panties and portray ecstasy, and then think of them as sluts? Porn is difficult because there is a history of women (especially) being drawn into it through drugs or power, but there are, as has been noted, women that use it as a lucrative outlet for their sex drive. I will never know the influence in your life that led you to your feelings, but, PLEASE, reciognise that you don't know what has happened in someone's life that led them to accept as acceptable what you may not. OK, sermon over, you can now return to your previously determined prejudices. Jan 06 10 04:11 pm Link Of course there are adult industry workers on this site. Who do you think takes their pictures, well the good ones at least. Its just that personally I don't post their pictures to my portfolio. They contract for images for their advertising, its a business deal. Personally I find the women I've dealt with, adult, business like, well focused and working hard to get ahead. BTW its always a business transaction, never a barter! And I enjoy looking at their portfolios here online to see how others portray them, wondering if they too know the private parts of their models' lives. Jan 06 10 04:13 pm Link It just makes the model more versatile. It's easier to get a porn model to pose for art and glam than the reverse. Jan 06 10 04:14 pm Link Surprised? Probably... Shocked? Nah! Would the fact that a Model I liked had been in a few Porn Movies really bother me that much??... probably not.... However I wouldn't be using any of the images I shot of them in a portfolio book that was being looked at by ultra conservative Client's such as Target, Walmart or Bloomingdales etc. .... but what they do on their own time is no concern of mine. As long as its legal & consensual who really cares? Anyway Porn isnt the huge shocker it once was a couple of decades ago... We have former soft core Porn Stars such as Pam Anderson, Carmen Electra, Jenny McCarthy etc doing mainstream work.... Funny thing is.. the majority of people publicly deny viewing or purchasing porn... some will actually say that they find it disgusting.. yet it makes more $$$ each year than the Hollywood studios make at the box office & through DVD sales! So that means someone is buying it.. mostly likely those that publicly state that they find it disgusting! LMAO! Jan 06 10 04:26 pm Link HORRORS! I don't ask, they don't tell. I've even found one who used my photos of him to advertise 'special services' he offered in the comfort of complete strangers' homes. No biggie (as long as he wasn't selling my pix to his clients! EDIT - without cutting me in on the $$$ - /EDIT To each their own!
