EDITED FOR CLARITY: With out naming anyone specific, I was recently surprised to find out that 2 of my favorite and well respected model mayhem models have done full porno work. I know alot of models have done it, but I was very surprised in this case because the 2 are so well known and respected that it  just amazed me that they went into that direction. I was just curious if anyone else had a similar experience?

I took out the word "shocked", because I think too many people misunderstood what i meant. As well as i removed the term "strayed" It was a bad choice of words.

there are a couple of models in this area that are also hookers/call girls/prostitutes....they use the same images from their MM port as they do on their call girl page...so no I am not at all surprised that an MM model has done "full porn"...

Porn gets put up on the web. It is then everywhere all at once forever.

Soooo... 20 years from now their kids are looking around on the web and see mommy with some slob(s) ejaculating on her face.  No problem. Yeah right. o.O

I see from your "yeah right" comment that the madonna/whore view of women is still current.  But the fact is:  Bank robbers, strippers, car thieves, beggars and, yes, porn actors can be great parents.  And those with "respectable" jobs can be horrendous parents, with kids who become drug addicts or suicides.  I think one thing has nothing to do with the other.

.. great point Jimmy..

... here's the thang.. even if a model (Tera patrick great example) bangs on cam for a living ... and films every kink and fetish known to man..every model, deep down inside, would still love to do great hair makeup and fashion styling and work with great photographers and create beauty...

... wipe Peter North cumshots off some of these porn actresses faces (Tera Patrick good example..lol) and replace with good hair and makeup and styling you would be surprised how beautiful some of these gals are...  but it is porn where the money is, so........................

Porn aside, FHM declared Tera the #1 sexiest woman in the world a few years ago. Put her on the cover. She also made, a few years back, some list of the world's 100 most beautiful women. Mighta been People. So there ya go. She's been Playboy's cover at least twice. Penthouse Pet and much more.

Shame that the forums can't carry background music.

"Angel is a Centerfold" would go well with this one.

I have always found the guys who most object to the idea of their girlfriend (or someone they had hoped would be) being in porn are the same guys who spend a great deal of time with it.

I wish my favorite porn stars would model for me.   Their ease in front of the camera would make for some fun shoots.

They should just join adult actress agencies... or pose as adult actresses. And do private shoots/filming only.

1) Any of their customers need to be AIM tested as required by the industry (and have a camera... a point and shoot can do LOL).
2) The going rate is like 2-3 X what an escort makes per hour, for "private scenes".

I guess porn evolved to be 3D finally (sarcasm) and even better since you can touch too... As always this sector is at the cutting edge of "entertainment".

And since everybody has the 2257 docs... it is fully and perfectly legal. Not to mention safe for the performers.

Now please someone tell me the difference between this and fully legalized prostitution? smile

The difference, at least in my case, as well as a few other girls I am friends with is this:

If the girl knows what she's doing when it comes to porn, she can pick who she works with, when she works, and what companies she wants to associate with. She can turn down work with anybody she decides she doesn't want to work with for any reason. She knows who will be coming to the set, how they act during a scene, and she knows that there will be other people around during the scene in case things get too intense.

If she escorts, she doesn't really have a choice of whether or not she is going to know exactly who will be coming through the door for their 'session' or what their behaviour will be while they're there. 99% of the time she'll be alone with her client, and there are a ton of things that can go wrong when it's 2 strangers in a room together with nobody playing 'big brother'.

Wow, I've had this conversation far too many times in the past few years.....

Literally nothing, eh? So, like... man-on-dolphin porn is ok?

Anyway, yeah... lots of people do porn. I used to work in a clerical job in college and the chick I worked with used to do porn. I can count on my fingers how many people I know who haven't at least done some homegrown... what's the big deal?

I always thought some of the models on MM act more like sex workers anyway... bringing escorts and such and wanting money placed on the table before they show their boobs. Though I guess a lot of the photographers here on MM act more like Johns so no wonder.

To say that MM isn't heavily T@A oriented would be to deny the obvious. So, no, I'm not surprised. I mean, fat meat is greasy. Am I right?

There is a smoking-hot model out here I contacted years ago to shoot with and her profile stated she didn't shoot nudes, yet I'd seen a (very nice, tasteful) nude of her in a photographer's portfolio. I asked her about it, and she said she'd had a bad experience and was not going to shoot nudes anymore. I believed her.

Fast forward to last year, the model is still going strong, but her images are getting more risque (up to implied nudes). I ask her if she's changed her direction to nudes yet because I had a shoot she'd be great for, but she insists she's still not shooting nudes (I'd seen a couple nudes/semi-nudes continue to turn up in other photographer's profiles).

Then one day I stumble onto an image of her (non-nude, but sexy head shot) that turns up in a Google image search (my search was not X-rated and completely unrelated to why her image would show up). Since I thought it odd to see her face in my search, I clicked through the link and it lead me to an adult site, and sexy nudes all over the place of her (not explicit or spread shots or anything), but under a stage name.

So it all becomes clear why she doesn't shoot nudes (likely getting paid enough and has an exclusive with that site), and I don't fault her for it, but it certainly does change your impression of someone (not necessarily bad, but different) when the 'truth' you knew turns a 180.  This might be different than the OP as this model specifically told me she didn't shoot nudes, as opposed to a model just not telling you she also does adult work.

I'm so tempted to let her know I know so she won't have to keep lying to me when I ask her about a shoot. lol

great way to bring the hit counts up and attract new models, since the ones that are in the port are now extremely annoyed at all the unsuitable offers filling their inbox sad
I would do it too but unlike the OP I actually respect the models too much to implicitly gossip about them.

I never claimed to be offended by porn, as I've already written many times on here. I've also stated that I've worked in the porno industry. I also am not judging them for it. I was just surprised that the 2 in question did porn before. That is the only thing that was meant. Relax everyone, stop reading things into this that aren't there.

Like it or not, there is a lot of admitted and unadmitted crossover between what we do and the adult industry, and we must be careful not to condemn types of work that aren't of our own preference.

Condemnation of any type of work fuels condemnation of other types including our own.

My avitar is a big name pron star. She graduated Penn State and married another porn star. She is a very nice, smart, considerate. I enjoyed working with her and found her a better person than most.

She goes by the name Nicole Sheridan now.

I'd trust a pron stars more than a hungup normal suburban family type, as the #1 lesson I've learned from photography is that it's the normal ones you need to watch out for.
