You will have to hit me up when you are in LA, I will take you to the good stores.

But It rally depends on the job that I am doing, if it is all guys, I usually will just empty out my clear case that holds my powders and put the bare minimum and I usually just end up fitting everything inside of my set bag.

I just hate to be unprepared. I mean I did a lifestyle shoot and they wanted the guy to look older, with salt and pepper hair... that was the day I decided I will never leave home w/o my MUFE flash color palette. I had to touch it up throughout the day, but it worked.

Also, the plethora of product and the fact that I find it hard to pass up a "gift set" (because as MUAs we love smaller sizes and larger quantities) or a sale (I got all my lipfinity stuff for $3 each at the drugstore on sale!).

I used to buy make-up excessively for myself. As soon as I got an excuse to buy stuff for everybody, that's when it really went to hell.

To be honest, the stores have great stuff, but they are not that impressive. Just rows and rows of stuff.

but you could easily just spend one day shopping.

p.s., the pacific ocean is AWESOME.

I have a fishing tackle box.   It is a tall box with four removable 'drawers' which are clear boxes with completly custom dividers.   So one is for foundations, one for eye 'stuff' one f/x makeup and one for lips.  There is another compartment up top for my brush roll and 'sundries'.

And if you need to, you can sit on it.

Most definately. I already told Sian that I would pick her up one next time I go up to LA (in a couple weeks) and ship it to her, if you cant find the quadpacks out there, I can do the same for you.

ahh thanks I cant take all the credit of the glad press and seal, An artist named Craig (he works for Paul & Joe now ) gave me the tip smile So I stole the idea anduse it on everything.

the little filp top containers are from Micheals the Craft store, I found them in the painting section they were 12 for $6.99  sold in a package . they are water tight and work like a charm. I love them for things like hair elastics, loose powders, glitter, small beads or rhinestones. almost anything little smile they are about the diamerter or a quarter and about 1 &1/2 cm tall.

I actually still use the one I have from make-up school, I have that and a MAC messenger bag, depending on the job I will switch it up. It is just a basic black one, but the MUD logo is a lot smaller on mine.
https://www.mudshop.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/627.jpg

I got 40% off of it at the time, so it came out to be about $33, which isn't too bad.

I have seen the scrapbooking stuff at the craftstore and it did look pretty handy.

https://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d99/DeadlyDesign/Loadedsetbag.jpg

Here is what it looks like empty.

https://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d99/DeadlyDesign/Emtysetbag.jpg

this "set bag" was $29.99 at Micheals the craft store, but I had a coupon for 40% off so it only cost me $18 + tax.
so I think it was a good investment and it looks so darn cute too smile I was tired of my old plane black I think this one this one is more fun smile

ok so I was in the grochery store the other day and I found the most perfect bags , they are clear and thicker plastic, theywere only $8.99 for 3 of them , (found them at  "Save on More Foods ") and I was shopping at Micheals the Craft store ( my favorite place in the world) and found awsome little jars, 16 of them for only $9.75
ohh and then I was at STAPLES picking up some of my favorite pens and I found a New Make-up Kit it was orriginally intened to be a file storage system, it locks, its durable, fire proof, has a shoulderstrap ( not sure why a file system would need a shoulder strap....?????   ) and the best thing it was on sale for only $19.99 ( reg price $69.99)
just wanted to share , you can find all kinds of stuff in the least likely places smile

They don't make that particular lunch bag anymore.  I talked to the company about them.  They have others that they say are about the same size but I have not found them yet.

Haha nope, mostly I take the subway. Well, when I was in NYC last week I just took public transit and splurged on a taxi once...It actually wasn't that bad at all. In Toronto, I sometimes have a car to borrow. But when I'm back in NYC after September, I'll be relying on the good ole subway. I really should condense my kit more, though....but I hate not having EVERYTHING with me...I always think to myself that I have too much makeup, but then again, can you ever have too much? lol

xo!

Can i tell you!  Lugging around make up on the subway in NYC is definately an art, especially during rush hour.  I have decided to transfer my make up from those metal boxes to a suitcase as well because the metal was just too heavy to lug up and down subway stairs.  I must admit I've gotten a lot stronger since coming back to NYC after Los Angeles.  Driving around sure does make the job easier.

the best thing about lugging a kit around any city are the muscles you get smile
I have a smaller kit that I just got, and Since I have downsized my kit its pritty much all I need It has a shoulder stap so that makes it easier to lug it around smile

Yeah I have my own studio!! But I can travel with all of it I have a rolling toolbox thingy that is PERFECT for it!!

That is my next big purchase!!! I am getting it from marys store..the cinema secrets! I like the trueblend though..If you put a few coats on it is alright! But that HIP!!! I REALLY like it a lot!! I found a store that has a lot of the colors they offer!!! and they are only 6.99!!! Woo hoo!! I also have .99 cent eyeshadows that I use for EVERY shoot that are great too!!!

Here are a few links to the makeup photos I have taken lately..Any critiques would be GREAT!! These sets were both with the trueblend and HIP!!!
