Took note, and deleted the bad ones. I'm really trying to work on my port. Thanks for the input!

Anamaly wrote: I definitely need some input, I know my portfolio needs dime editing but it's hard to do for yourself Lose this: It's a really unflattering photo. You look tired and like you have paint smeared around your eyes. Uh.... [img]http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110423/21/4db3a15ec4c99.jpg[/img} Ok, so you have a pretty nice butt. Other than for that statement, how is this at all flattering? There's even a series of four pixels that went white across your butt. Would not have taken more than 5 minutes to clean up, but this is just a photo of your butt and nothing more. OMG WTF No No NO NO NO. "Maybe" the original photo could have been salvaged, but this editing is absolutely hideous. This could have been really fun and cute and sexy: But instead, your face is out of focus, and I feel like I just walked in on you after you shot up... Maybe that was the goal? Interesting wardrobe. Probably my favorite of what you currently have. Hate the busy background. I think I know what the photographer was going for, but this would have been much better to not have the busy background. I hate that I have to say this, and I wish I could pretend that I like a photo in your port, but I'm not really a big fan of any of them. You're an attractive woman, but frankly, the photographers you have worked with really suck. Every photo has either an issue with editing, or photographer error. Looking at your credited photos, the only one I like is one that isn't in your port: https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/1 … c6b85f.jpg I feel bad, but it's the truth. You need to get away from the dregs, even if that means paying a photographer. You deserve better. Best of luck.

PhotoSlavery wrote: I'm new and would appreciate a brutal critique. Everything I'm learning I'm learning on my own so please anything that can point me in the right direction would be most appreciated I'm 90% self taught. I know how that can go. Ultimately, you need to be able to see what's wrong in your work and how to move on. Watch your lighting. Here eyes are completely in shadow, which gives her this really creepy look. Other than that, it's a pretty well done photo. OK... Really not my thing. I feel like fantasy can be done well, but this is just sooo generic. Her pose is also terrible. I get that you were going for "green," but I bet there was a way that you could still take a photo that fit that theme without being tacky. My favorite out of your port: Nicely lit, composed, and captured. Now if only I could see her eyes... WTF.... Going to have nightmares about this. I feel like you have some great ideas, but they get stuck in translation. Go for art, not the snapshot. Look at the photos in your list, then compare your photos to them. Evolve.

Put away the gold reflector, and never use it again. I see this used properly 5% of the time. The other 95% of the time it looks super fake. Other than for the fact that he looks like he's about to punch the camera, I like this one: Nicely composed, but I HATE that watermark. The damn thing is obnoxiously huge.

Jacob Skogs wrote: I'd love to know your thoughts on my 'fashion' portfolio. I am still learning so definitely anything it better then nothing. Trying to improve shooting fashion as it was basically my second fashion shoot, so please rip my crap apart, lol. You're still learning, but you say "I am currently NOT accepting any TF work, unless you are an agency represented model with one of the major NYC agencies. If you would like to know my rates feel free to shoot me a message." Wow...someone sure has a lofty impression of themself. You only have four photos on your MM and 5 on your website for fashion. First step, get your ego in check. This is interesting, but her awesome pose gets lots in the business of the photo. Also, try to find an angle that's not looking at trash cans next time. She's wearing sandles....in the winter....on snow....over leggings....... You also need to start maximizing what you can do on MM. Your photos can be 800pixels wide, this one looks more like 500 or 600. Change your angle. Drop lower, get closer. Fashion gets weird. Don't be afraid to get right in there and play around with the angles to make something interesting.

Just changed up the bio cause I did sound a bit pretentious and I didn't mean for it to sound like that. The middle photo I actually have no desire to have in my portfolio, but until I shoot another model it's only staying so I don't have 1 model in my port. I appreciate the honesty though Hopefully after a couple more shoots I'll have better experience and better port!
