Model Portfolio R 7 6 S 6 6 P 8 6 Avg 7 6 We like your look, in our opinion, your profile could use some really awesome glamour images. I think that would raise both of your score from our point of view as you consider yourself a glamour model.

Marlene Potfer wrote: Thank you for the rating! 7.3/10 isn't too bad Any feedback on what I should improve? In our opinion, there are a couple of images that are all from the same set. We normally say to pick the best possibly two at the most, and get rid of the other ones. Also, I think based on your look, your portfolio could use some nice bikini images. I am talking ones like on the VS summer catalog. I think you have the look and the figure for it. And finally, a little more diversity in the images that you have up. Here's what we look for in a models portfolio: 1. Beauty shots. 2. Natural light shots. 3. Full length fashion shot in front of seamless paper. 4. Swimsuit shots but not one of the model standing in the woods miles from water. 5. Very light makeup shot or no makeup shot if the model can pull it off. 8. Editorial shots. 9. Sexy but tasteful lingerie shots. Think La Perla, not Frederick's of Hollywood. Hope this helps, and gives you a feel at what we look for in a model portfolio.

We are considering adding another member to our group that are doing this rating. His Name is Helcio. Helcio is a model scout for one of the top 5 model management agencies in the world. His job is to travel all over the world looking for new models anywhere in the world and some very unusual places. And trust me, he does have some unusual places where he looks for new talent. We are not sure yet if we will start a new thread, or just add him to this one. One of the problems we are trying to figure out in adding Helcio, is that he looks for very specific requirements in a model, and he is mostly looking for fashion and commercial models. So we think a new thread just for models that are mainly looking into the fashion and commercial industry would be a better way to go rather then adding him to this one, where we look at all genres. just our thoughts... ![smile](//assets.modelmayhem.com/images/smilies/smile.png)

You need to have a balanced portfolio, and you are no where near there. We think you are going mostly for glamour modeling. Work with some above average photographers, and you should do great.

Model Portfolio R 7 5 S 8 4 P 7 5 Avg: 7.6 4.6 In our opinion, your look screams Pin-up!!!!!! you need to work and get a balanced portfolio, but again in our opinion with an emphasis on pin-up. Find some photographers in your area that do pin-up and that you like their work, and go for it.

Ceci L wrote: Thank you, not really bad^^ Can give me some feedback to improve?? thanks We like your look, and your portfolio is not too bad. Your scores were pretty high. We think there are a few pictures in your portfolio that by getting rid of them, it would make it stronger. for example this one:
We feel this image does not do much for your portfolio. Also, the following images would add a lot to your portfolio: 1. A very strong head shot. 2. Shots showing model interacting or playing a role. 3. Shots showing model conveying a mood or message.

We think your portfolio could use a little more variety. There are a couple of images that don't do you justice. We would love to see in your port a beauty shot, some high fashion shots, swimsuit shot, some sexy but tasteful lingerie shots. I think with the right photographers, you could have an amazing portfolio.

I want to say thanks for ranking me... I do have two questions... You scored pretty low on the model (me)....does that mean my potential is low or just not your cup of tea as far as the look?? Also, do you have suggestions??? You said the glamour look may not work....in your opinion, what are some looks I should try??? Thanks again....your feedback has been greatly appreciated!!!!

But we will catch up and will get to everyone. We were not really sure what type of modeling you are going for. You have a very young look, which is good. You have a photo in your portfolio that you look like you are about 7 years old. We would say bring more diversity to your portfolio, and you should do ok.

We feel that your potential depends on your genre. Your age and your height does not work for you in certain genres I.e. Fashion. You have to decide what you want to go for, and then crate a portfolio that shows that type of work. And yes, find some above average photographers. P.S. We did not say that glamour would not work for you. We actually think it will. But you need to develop a good glamour portfolio.
