Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?
I was born and raised in the scenic Hudson Valley in upstate NY, and I reside there today. Although you would never know it as I spend most of my time traveling for shoots
Who or what inspired you to become a model?
My mom is very creative, she was a photographer and studied fashion design in school, and I got a lot of inspiration from her fashion design books and magazines as a kid.

How and when did you start modeling?
I was 18 and working at a local cigar store when a man came in and started chit chatting with me and asked me if I would model for him. I did a few shoots with him and he acted as a mentor and offered encouragement in the early years of my career. It was actually because of him that I opened a Model Mayhem account!
What type of modeling do you enjoy most?
I enjoy photoshoots that allow me to be part of the creative process. I love styling my shoots and coming up with concepts that are beautiful, unique and sometimes totally absurd.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?
I work with pros and amateurs alike. I love working with people of all experience levels. What is most important is that they communicate well and are respectful.

Photographers: Tim Walker, Brook Shaden, Lindsay Adler. Models: Twiggy, Dovima, Kate Moss.

What would be your dream shoot?
Modeling for an Alexander McQueen editorial.
How important is social media in your success?
Very Important. My Job exists because I am active on social media.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?
I love to design costumes, paint, cook, and do lots of hiking and camping.
What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?
Don’t let anyone make you believe that you need them in order to be successful. Do what will make you happy and only push your boundaries if/when YOU feel you are ready. Oh, and always check references.
