Apparently she died in a car crash this weekend.

Model Mayhem Member #21161.  Sorry, I looked for a condolence thread and couldn't find it so I decided to type this one.  Don't know much more than that, but there is a memorial pic on the front page of her website (www.jasminegrey.com)  (the MM link is wrong, use this one) and there was some 'buzz' about her death on other boards.

Jasmine was in my studio many, many times.  I have an autographed picture that a photographer took of her on a motorcycle on my cyc and gave to me as a thank you.

I will always remember a charming young lady with a great big smile.  She will be missed!

I just met her back in October and we talked and joked for a while...I was hoping to get a chance to shoot pictures of her one of these days...

My sympathies to the family...she'll be missed greatly.

I had never seen her before until now. I went to OMP to see if she had a profile on there. She was a true beauty and she obviously loved what she was doing. Anyone who got to work with her was very lucky. The first thing I noticed was her smile which actually made me smile right back. It is a rare thing to happen just from seeing a smile in a photograph.
My sympathies to the family.

Never worked with her but have seen her images...
What an incredible shame.
She was beautiful and, from what I'm hearing, really sweet; incredibly heart breaking.
By most sincere sympathies go out to her family and friends.

A damn shame.

That is so sad. She must have been a very special person.

Do you think the site owners should offer to keep her images up as a memorial? I'm not sure that would be appropriate though. Any thoughts?

I don't want to post this in bad taste, but why would OMP and her website be notified so quckly after her death?  I did a search of newspapers in Ohio and I could not find any news of an accident involving three people.  Perhaps my search was wrong, but something just doesn't sound right, here.  /t

Michelle was a sweet person, a wonderful person to work with, and as I reflect back to the year and a half I spent working with Michelle, its really hard to imagine she is gone.  She worked with many, many photographers over the past 4 years and I am sure all of them wish they had spent more time working with her.

God Bless you Michelle, you will be missed.

From the Akron Beacon Journal

1-car crash leaves 3 dead

'03 Chevrolet Cavalier went off road, in ditch, into tree, patrol says

Beacon Journal staff report

MEDINA TWP. - Fresh roses, artificial poinsettias and tire tracks through the snow were all that marked the spot Saturday where three friends were killed in a one-car accident.

The Medina post of the State Highway Patrol identified the three as Michelle Grayshaw, 21, Brent Birth, 24, and Brian Gerspacher, 25, all of Medina.

The patrol reported that Grayshaw was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier south on Foskett Road past Hamilton Road at 2:08 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle went off the left side of the road, slid through a snow-filled ditch and struck a tree.

The patrol said there was no additional information and the accident remains under investigation.

Grayshaw was a self-employed model and Birth was a bricklayer in his father's masonry business, according to Waite & Son funeral home in Medina, which is handling arrangements for all three.

Information about Gerspacher was not available. His family declined to comment.

All three were graduates of Medina High School, according to the funeral home.

Grayshaw leaves her parents, Francis of Medina and Theresa of Seville, sister Christina, brother Joshua, stepsisters Ashley and Lindsey and stepbrother Jeremy.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Medina.

Birth leaves his father, George Birth Sr. of Medina, and mother, Germaine Reutzel of Lodi; sisters Michele Grzybowski and Holly Hensley of Brunswick; and brothers George Jr. of Fort Knox, Ky., Robert of Seville and Chad of Medina.

Calling hours for Birth will be 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and services will be at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Arrangements for Gerspacher are incomplete.

Jasmine/Michelle was a caring, fun, intelligent, lively and beautiful person. My heart is broken by this tragedy.

She joined a group of us for a raucous dinner after Glamourcon 37 was over on Sunday. Her humor and bright light shown that night, as always. As a group, we all loved her, and I loved her as a friend. I'll treasure those final memories. I'll remember her always, the quick smile, wonderful laugh and mischievous eyes.

My prayers and condolences to all her family and friends.

Jasmine, you grounded me too.

Love and miss you,

Keith

She and I were discussing the possibility of working together, if not on my next trip to Youngstown in January then perhaps a later time... alas it is not to be for the worst of all possible reasons.

Rest in Peace Michelle, you will be missed by many, even those who only knew you electronically.

The world is a much colder place now.

And this is one of the worst news that I have ever heard.  I am way too distraught right now.

I met her at the Chicago Glamourcon the last couple of years and she was one of the sweetest models I have ever met.  I wish a lot of other models had the right attitude that she had.

Not only that, she was very kind to me- I will never forget that.

Condolences and prayers go out her family, and the families of the other two who lost their lives.

The world is a lot colder.   She left us way too soon.  I will miss her very dearly.
We all will miss her.

Jasmine, we love you.

Words can not begin to express my sense of shock, and disbelief, as Jasmine was simply so young, zestful and full of life.

She touched the lives of so many, including mine, and for that, I will always be grateful. She will be so dearly missed by so many across the entire country. We will miss you girl! You were simply the best and loved by all!

You were an angel among us!
