We are always watching Contest admin team Oct 01 12 08:30 am Link OK, well where were you guys at a few weeks ago when the Photographer of the Week back awhile ago didn't even post the winner and so what I don't force there hand if they like my work then they like it. Better than seeing half the winners are all freaking PHOTOSHOP to all hell that isn't photography just saying. Some of these should be put into graphics. They use a room and add a cool effects/ background. I mean really some people need to use like a Canon 10D or even a Canon 30D to know how to use cameras. Sorry for the rant but, people on here are not really doing anything its all on Adobe or some other design program. If that's what people are into then good for them that's there opinion. There is no art if you cant take a good picture. That's all I have to say because some people on here are good photographers, but don't get recognized because all there high blown out adobe designs that aren't even real photos. Definitely. But still, not a crime. Oct 01 12 11:31 am Link 12 Oct 01 12 11:40 am Link #8 Oct 01 12 12:16 pm Link

Reason: violates rules Comments: offensive and personal attack Oct 01 12 12:31 pm Link Vote #5 Oct 01 12 01:00 pm Link I find ramblings above to be quite offensive and unpleasant. While I agree in general that some images overuse photoshop - I simply don't vote for these I find overdone. I won't also vote for images which being more "pure photography" have no appeal to me, are poorly done and boring, or are showing lack of skills. I also have reservations to many other things in these contests - for example style of images usually winning in highly popular picture of the day contest. In 90% I don't agree with winning choices. But - I accept this is what other people like. So, I simply don't enter there often, nor I follow it with much passion. But giving hell publically to admins, or to people who dare to like something else than me won't change anything, and won't help. We see here many photoshopped, and also some poorly done images. This happens in many contests, even much more "serious" than this contest. I vote for what I find interesting. And - I put my entries. If I don't win - it is not end of the world - it suppose to be for fun, not a knife fight. This situation puts bad taste here, and I feel it should not belong to contest pages. my two pennies. over and out. Oct 01 12 02:32 pm Link |
