Do you have a twitter?
I do (www.twitter.com/eyechart), but the key is interacting with people to generate followers and awareness, which I definitely don't do enough. On my portfolio is a quote from a young actress who starred in a film "Never Let Me Go" who loves my work and is considering a shoot if I'm in her area. It's also been seen by some of the young stars from the last Harry Potter film. I got my Glitterball Magazine feature from communications on Twitter. My favourite author wrote back with links and advice on getting my work on a book cover. I love getting feedback on there and networking with people you may not ordinarily have contact with. ClickClickBec_ - twitter name. I actually encourage you to NOT follow me though because I rarely post anything interesting to anyone but me lol. BUT would NEVER use it for business or networking purposes. I use Twitter as a comedy outlet. Tweeting jokes and ridiculous things that might scare away potential contacts.
