Watching the news now and they are saying she was found dead in her London apartment. Thats all they said, other than mentioning her previous issues.

Wow. If true, I thought this would be ten years from now.

I find it hard to believe that the Daily Mail would be the only ones breaking this story on the internets.

*waits patiently for other sources*

Well, it does say 'breaking news'.  And, it is dated today at 6:00pm.  What time is it in London now?

Sadly, she emulated the Sixties singers just a bit too much. RIP.

Yep, I thought maybe it'd take a little longer than it did, but I guess persistence breaks resistence.  She was on a quest.

Feeling the need to share:

Like many, I was a die-hard fan for a brief period, which was 2009 to 2010 in my case. She inspired me as a photographer as well.

"Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London, it has been reported.

The Back To Black singer was apparently found at 4pm and her death is believed to be unexplained.

Unexplained? How about that she was a alcohol/ drug abusing asshole.
I got no sympathy for someone who intentionally drives their lives into a ditch that kills them.
Hey, more air for me.

The Daily Mail and The Sun should not be taken seriously, until other news organizations have independent stories.

It would be very sad if true. sad

People who live her lifestyle have to know there are consequences. Its sad, but no one can be really surprised when they don't die of old age.

perhaps someone needs to conduct a study involving celebrity, drugs, alcohol and life span. Maybe 27 is it.

she's known to have a long history of addiction and also have health problems - irregular heartbeat and reduced lung capacity.

Taking drugs only worsen her conditions. It's not surprising she died.

RIP

Yeah but I was hoping she'd make enough of a recovery to make some more before dying.

I was so looking forward to a 3rd album... I'm really sad. It's like I have no one left. Who the fuck even makes good blues/soul music anymore?

The world is too full of people who die in a car wreck on the way to work supporting their families, or who are shot at a youth camp. My heart aches for these innocent dead, not for someone who controlled her own fate and chose this path.
I dismiss that "tortured soul" crap too.

She was a throwback, and good at it.  Hopefully there'll be a natural recycle back to good music and away from the crap that's thrown at everyone present day.

Did you know her personally? You're too quick to pass judgment, and rudely at that. I'd call you the asshole.
