    I actually encourage the model to bring someone sensible (and not too vocal) along.
    They must be able to stay out of the way, i.e. not on set, but I do prefer them there.

    Hopefully they will even help lug some lighting gear if it is a location shoot – yes I ask 🙂
    I agree with you that if the ‘tog says a flat “no” that’s a red flag as are convoluted travel arrangements. Simple and above board is best.
