Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?

I’m from a very small farm town in North Ontario, Canada. I’ve moved to Toronto, Canada now for work and travel everywhere. I absolutely love traveling!

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

When I was younger I wasn’t happy with my body or myself, for years I struggled with body dysmorphia and my looks. When I did my first photoshoot and saw the images there was this thrill, this adrenaline rush that came from seeing myself in such a different perspective.

Modeling helped me see how beautiful I am, inside and out, all my flaws, all my scars, marks, and shapes, everything. It’s taught me that the little differences that make you insecure make you a strong model and that beauty is in everything, nothing inspires me more than this to continue modeling.

How and when did you start modeling?

I had just lost some weight and found myself enjoying the club scene, something I hadn’t done before, when I met a photographer who worked for the club and asked to do a photoshoot with me. I wasn’t sure but gave it a shot and haven’t stopped since. That was just over 4 years ago.

What type of modeling do you enjoy most?

Art nude and high fashion are my all-time favorites. Art nude gives you the ability to be creative in ways that are weird, different and not mainstream beautiful. High fashion is amazing because I love creating lines and shapes with clothing and makeup looks.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?

Quality of portfolio is my first requirement. I need to see constancy. If you have ONE good image I don’t expect you to be capable of creating the same quality with me, I consider it luck.

I also look for workable personalities; somebody who is rude, stuck-up or too full of themselves isn’t very fun to work with!

Which models or other artists currently inspire you?

There is one main model who I have looked up to since day one, her name is Fredau.

What would be your dream shoot?

This is a very hard one, but the first thing that comes to mind is mountains;
With a proper rigger, and stylist, and of course a safety team. I’d love to do a shoot where I am hanging off the edge of a cliff, either art nude or featuring a gown.

How important is social media in your success?

This is a funny question, the last 3 years I’ve had many struggled with social media. I’ve lost multiple Instagram accounts, one with 40k followers and another with 10k, and I’ve lost a Facebook fan page with 25k followers. All of this has impacted me but hasn’t stopped me or my bookings.

Social media is helpful, yes, but it is NOT everything and some of the best out there don’t even use it.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?

I love traveling and spending time with my cats, and I also absolutely adore sleeping.

What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?

Don’t let rumors, people, or anything really get to you. Work hard, focus on yourself, your dreams and your career, and don’t ever let anybody take you off that path. You are what makes you special.
