Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?

I am from a lot of places. I’ve lived in Hoboken, NJ, and most of my gigs are NYC based and I do some traveling for shoots.

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

Modeling is something I fell into. I was a dancer and more interested in acting when a music producer I was singing for suggested I try modeling. I also had a mentor that encouraged me.

How and when did you start modeling?

I have been in the modeling business for a while. I am very grateful for all the wonderful assignments I’ve come across.

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy all types of modeling, but I have great admiration for pinup and old school Hollywood style. I adore the Marilyn Monroe look and have done look-alike modeling as her.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?

I look for good communication with a photographer, a strong portfolio, excitement for their craft, and professionalism.

Which models or other artists currently inspire you?

I adore Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, and Tyra Banks. I also admire Beverly Johnson for being the first African American model on the cover of Vogue. I’m inspired by confidence, vulnerability, passion, and creativeness.

What would be your dream shoot?

My dream shoot is to model on the beach. That is my favorite place to be!

How important is social media in your success?

I think social media plays a part but I try not to get caught up in the hype of it.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?

I like to create music, walk, and run in the park, read, and I’m always striving to be a better person.

What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?

I would tell new models to do your research in the industry. It helps to have an image in mind when planning looks for a photoshoot. Study the supermodels.
