Where are you from? Where are you now and are you traveling for sessions?

I am from Lima, Peru. I just returned to Lima after shooting in France and Switzerland, and I’ll return to Europe in November.

I’m a traveling model. I lived in the USA for many years and visited different states to work with American photographers. I also feel very grateful to receive invitations with all expenses paid on many occasions throughout my all professional career.

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

I have had this love and ease of being in front of the camera since I was little. I love dancing, singing, and expressing myself physically through dance.

I was always fascinated by the beauty and grace of Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, and the greatest top models like Claudia, Linda, and Stefanie.

How and when did you start modeling?

Around age 15, I had the opportunity to pose for plastic artists for their beautiful paintings when I was studying at the Lima Art Museum. I went to study drawing and painting and ended up modeling for artists.

At 17 I sent some photos to a contest in a local newspaper that was looking for the model of the month and I won it. I started my professional career at 18 with commercial modeling, fashion shows, and TV commercials.

What type of modeling do you enjoy the most?

I love creating beautiful nude images and fine art because I can express myself freely and expand creatively. Thanks to the photographers that allow me, I am very open and I feel comfortable with my body.
I believe that the artistic nude is beautiful and clean, it transmits truth, innocence, and purity for those who can appreciate the vision beyond the object.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?

I like to work with photographers of all levels as long as they are serious and professional people who are really interested in creating beauty. I always love participating in the creative process. If you trust me with this and we can flow together it will lead to great results.

If you have an idea in mind, just let me know and we will come to this together. I have the knowledge of styling, professional makeup, wardrobe, and color, and of course, I come with all these skills.

What models or other artists inspire you today?

Currently, I am inspired by all those who transcend through time and continue to create with the same enthusiasm and love as the first time, just like me. There are many photographers and models right here on Model Mayhem with great work and long careers. I will not mention names, they know who they are, and I have had the honor of working with some of them.

What would be the photoshoot of your dreams?

This is a difficult question because my mind is full of dream images and that is how they were created. I already had many shoots of my dreams. The most recent was an outdoor shoot in Paris for the first time. It was always my dream to shoot in Paris with a great photographer.

The world of fantasy and ethereal concepts attract me too. I dream of being able to one day have a shoot with beautiful animals in nature. I would also love to do fashion shoots with the wardrobe of original designs in a vintage concept.

How important is social media to your success?

My career started long before social networks, and my success did not depend on them. But, now they are important and I like to participate, be close to people who like my work, share my creations, and somehow be able to be an inspiration is the contribution that I always dream of giving to the world.

Social media is also another source of economic income in these “times of change.” I really appreciate the support of my followers.

What else do you like to do outside of modeling?

I practice classical ballet, modern dance, and yoga. They are an important part of my artistic training and I love doing it.

I like animal causes and doing work in this field. There is a lot of suffering of abandoned animals in Peru. I have four rescued little ones (three cats and one old dog). They are beautiful and they are my kids. When I am not traveling I love to spend time with them, take care of them and pamper them a lot.

What is the best professional advice you can give to new models?

Only do this if you really love it because it is not easy if you want to transcend and pursue a professional career. You need to find and know what it is that will make you different and unique because there are thousands of beautiful and young people, and success will not only be a matter of physical attributes.

Professionalism, responsibility, and seriousness in what you do will be extremely important points. Be prepared to talk and negotiate in an appropriate way. Preparation and study of beauty, nutrition, makeup, styling, color, and even knowledge of art will open many paths to you. Practicing dance will be the best exercise and will give you flexibility, grace, and many ideas to pose for hours. And, for all dreams to become reality, if you want to do it, just go ahead and listen to your heart and to no one else and nothing will stop you.
