Photographer Spotlight: Norbert Sokolowski
Norbert Sokolowski is a Polish photographer who lives and works in Brussels, where’s he’s been based for 13 years. He started working with models in 2005, at the time shooting digital, but for the past 10 years has been shooting film. Norbert mainly shoots medium format, occasionally using a Hasselblad, but more often his favorite camera, a Pentax 67. He also shoots large format, both 4×5″ and 8×10″, when the opportunity arises.
Norbert’s photos are often spontaneous, with inspiration taken from the models, or how light plays on subtle details, like hands or a neckline, and the unexpected possibilities of a new location.
