Jul 22 08 07:32 pm Link Thank you Ransom!! You have NO idea how much I've learned from reading through this thread! I've done one two-light studio setup and and pretty much made it up as I went. Reading this makes me want to learn more and try again. Can't wait for the next lesson!! Notice that you don't look through the camera. Is that just a personal habit? Do you do that for a specific reason or purpose? Jul 22 08 07:58 pm Link Bill Mason Images wrote: Also, according to the kid in Jerry Maguire, the human head weighs eight pounds. Jul 22 08 09:10 pm Link Slightly off topic....how did you light the girl with the smole coming out of her mouth? Jul 22 08 09:17 pm Link Where can I get a background like that? Jul 22 08 11:03 pm Link Did you need three lights in order to create the photo you wanted or could you have used less lights or some reflectors and gotten a similar result? And are the two lights in back more for the background? Jul 22 08 11:12 pm Link David Scott wrote: Make sure you go back and read the WHOLE thread. Your questions have all been answered. Jul 22 08 11:16 pm Link oh and on the video for the model's website, you typed .coom instead of .com Jul 22 08 11:16 pm Link Jul 22 08 11:20 pm Link David Scott wrote: It's possible to have done it with two lights and two reflectors. This thread rocks so much. To summmarize what I personally learned: I've got space in my living room to do some hot shots over the winter. If I can find a model who won't diss on my house too bad. I can accomplish rim lighting with what I have, well.. I need one more umbrella but they're wayyyyy cheaper than the rest of the stuff I've been buying. And thank you for proving that it's not how new the equipment is, but how you freaking use it! Wishing a workshop was in *my* future! Are you guys coming Anchorage? Jul 31 08 07:50 pm Link second diana's idea of coming to anchorage, it's nice up here in the summer/fall, and we've got our state PFD checks to spend in a few months too. Aug 01 08 10:02 am Link Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the tips. I shoot with the Alpha, and I bumped my sharpness up one notch, and set it to Vivid and I find the skintones to be much nicer. Aug 01 08 11:23 am Link This also shows how nice it is to have a great MU working with you. Aug 01 08 11:41 am Link |
