Oh yeah... and the ones that don't want you to bring an escort only because in the back of their minds they want to try their hand at getting you to sleep with them after or even during the shoot!

And then when you play them, they go after your close personal friends... but little do they know your close personal friends are even crazier than you. LOL

OK... just had to get that off my chest.

thanks for listening.

Well, it swings both ways.

Not all models are keeping their hands to themselves, either. Not to mention the after-shoot text messages and emails that come in spades with all kinds of undertones - or the on-set antics or calling the photographer sweetheart, sweety, baby, yada, yada, yada.

It's not easy being on either side of the camera in this world.

No one side of it is any more or less guilty.

Deal the best you can.

Just because a photographer wants to go grab a bite to eat or meet with you outside of a shoot doesn't mean they want to have sex with you.   This is my life, and I like to hang out with other photographers, videographers, models, musicians, dancers, MUA's or just about anyone in the entertainment industry.  Sometimes we spend long hours shooting and working together so it only comes natural to want to eat.

I like to meet with models I have not met in person before if it is at all possible.  Unbelievable as this may seem to many of you, I have NEVER had a "flake" that was a complete no show/call on a shoot in the 25 years of shooting.  I've written about the methods I use, and one of those is to meet the models at a coffee shop for a preshoot meeting.  The only "no shows/calls" have happened with those meetings.   Obviously I never work with those who didn't show up to that.

Most of the shoots I do involve multiple people.  So if it's critical to get the shoot done, I book back up models and have them ready if the main model calls in sick or something.  Not to be mean, but anyone I work with knows that I can replace them quickly.  So they are more likely to show up!  I'm generous and treat people well, so most people who get to know me ... want to be there!

It's mostly the "one on one" situations that these photographers try to pick up on you?  That is where the confusion and miscommunication can happen.  I don't know what they say to you, but it could be that "one on one" makes it seem more like a "date" when two people go some where to eat.  They might think it's more intimate, and you need to set them straight if it's just a friendly get together.

he he but a message saying
''wow your body is really hot - we should probaly hang out 1-1''
is not the way you ask tho
wink
is it?

I just read the articles, that's it.

Lmao wow....

Im a photographer from brooklyn so I understand ya language clearly.I wanna know why you felt affended and jumped too conclusions that the photoghrapher wants to jump in your pants like he's a pervert or something..when he did not state anything like that..it seems to me he found you attractive and was just asking  you out on a date..what's so perverted and unprofessional about that?? He did ask you after the shoot right after business was done..I can see if it was beforehand..then you can say you knew what his intensions are...

Is there any rule that states photographers shouldn't wanna get to know a model after?
Shouldn't find a model attractive and should leave her/him alone after the shoot?

To me I think he was just tryna let you know he was feeling you and if its ok to get to know you better.if you didn't wanna speak to him like that or didn't have the time for personal dates or watever..a simple no or no thankyou im seeing some wouldn't hurt..

Behind the camera photographers are humans too.there not robots..after its all said and done and the shoot is done..you done got all your pictures and everything..BUSINESS IS DONE..whatever he asks after  like on a date or a simple conversation to get to know you better..that's on yall.. Between a man and woman.business is already done so it has nothing to do with that witch make not unprofessional so think and stop being iggnorant jumping to conclusions

I can understand if your one of them type of females that says all men are assholes..then yea your gonna think negative and jump to conclusions real quickly because that's what your expecting to happen..

So yea there's my thoughts on your topic

1. thats what you get for doing slutty shoots. You dont like it? Then suck it up or dont do them.
2. Just because some photog decided he wanted to get in your pants doesnt mean everyone does. Trust me.

Art is whatever the artist perceives it as. weather it be "slutty" "classy" or what have you there should be no labels in art in my opinion....

Exactly..you want it to stop and be treated  with respect more..then stop the slutty looks and start doing shoots with more cloths on more classy casual look..more lady like...they will alone come at you like that becuase of the look you give of and what your willing to do...if your willing to do everything as in sexi lingerie nudes ect.....then ofcource the photographer or whoever your working with will have a different feeling about you and think its ok to talk or touch you anyway ebcause you give of the impression that your ok with everything

i did once have a model who after the shoot wanted me to pay HER to sleep with me lol... dunno if thats cos she was an escort on the side or just thought she needed the cash to "endure" sleeping with me but either way i politely declined on the basis that she was old enough to be my mum!

My girlfriend (who has posted in this thread) has stated publicly in the past that she gets hit on more at clothed commercial type shoots and glamour shoots than she does when she's doing art nudes or bondage work.

It's more about the mentality of the people that the type of work.

Reading some of the grammar in this thread.. makes me just want to cry. I'm not even kidding around. I'm tearing up. Oh man.. Time to go.

Edit: I'm not talking about punctuation.. Capital letters, commas, periods, or anything like that.

Ah yes, the plight of the beautiful people.

Don't worry; just give it some time.  You see, as a model, you have a "shelf life."  The minute you get in front of the camera, it begins the count down to your expiration date.  In a matter of years (if you're lucky; often it's less than that) you'll be replaced by the newest hot young thing.

And at that point, you won't have photographers trying to shoot you and screw you.  They will have moved on to the new booty.  And won't that be wonderful?  No more pressure of being the hot shit.  Guys won't give you a second thought.  They won't be trying to get into your pants because they won't be paying you any attention whatsoever.  And those that do will give you the dreaded back-handed compliment  "She looks good... for a woman her age."

Ouch.  Enjoy this attention while you have it.  Oh, sure... it seems frustrating now, but wait until you no longer get this attention.  Suddenly you'll realize that you don't have quite the same effect on men and truly some people (this happens to guys too) don't handle that well.

So just realize that the day will come when this will no longer be a problem for you.  And know that you might not be happy about that, either...

Personally feel offended when people (Usually women) remark in regards to Male Photographers:

"Theyre men, any man would be aroused by a beautiful woman blah blah blah."

I usually don't find people attractive based solely on thier looks, much less would I want to sleep with them. Working around models/dancers on a regular basis has actually made me quite numb to physical appearance.

If on the other hand, there is a connection between me and someone i'm working with and that progresses into a friendship and then progresses onto something else; so be it.

In regards to the OP.

She should have been rebuked like the devil when she stated that: "sometimes she plays them."

I wouldnt wish assault or rape on ANYBODY but seriously....

Most men wouldnt have the confidence to approach a beautiful woman who clearly respects herself and clearly isnt interested.

It is very sad, when sex comes into play here. granted if there is chemistry between the photographer and the model fine. It is their own business.
But if the photographer is using this over the model then it is not fare.
Just be professional at all times.

Personally I think it unexceptable to hit on a model during or after a shoot. No matter the type of shoot. I've done various shoots wih models from clothed to nude not once have I ever tried to hit on a model. Plus why should because its a nude shoot imply the model is up for anything other than just modeling.

Photographers that do this give the rest of us a bad name, its just creepy. A proper photographer is it in it for the art.
