Can I throw this in here?

---

The ratio of "Professional" (ie. PAID INDIVIDUALS) Photographers to Models here on mm is about 10:1.

If you want a PROFESSIONAL; pay a Professional.

- I can near enough guarantee all of you complaining about unprofessional behaviour will soon see the frequency of that decline SHARPLY.

It's used a lot, television shows, movies between teenagers or adults in different parts of Brooklyn, New York, Philly, Canada (sometimes Toronto) Surprisingly even NZ one of the mechanics says it a lot.

For some people if you are playing someone, you aren't letting them get what you want.

If someone played you, you didn't get what you wanted out of that person they tricked you, or screwed up your plans or lead you on to think with facial expression that you could of possibly had the upper hand but you don't really know until they say the words no.

Different words for different people.
I don't understand why people would get angry with that or annoyed...not everyone speaks the exact same way but apparently we all have to?

Not trying to start anything just wondering why everyone is all crazy about different speech patterns and dialects or whatever.

ummm just an FYI...some of the bigger more popular names in photography, are some of the worst offenders....

a lot of times these guys think the models should be offering themselves up to the alter of their greatness....

Personally feel offended when people (Usually women) remark in regards to Male Photographers:

"Theyre men, any man would be aroused by a beautiful woman blah blah blah."

I usually don't find people attractive based solely on thier looks, much less would I want to sleep with them. Working around models/dancers on a regular basis has actually made me quite numb to physical appearance.

If on the other hand, there is a connection between me and someone i'm working with and that progresses into a friendship and then progresses onto something else; so be it.

Well in some cases there's an element of egotism going there 'cause what they're really saying is "I am so attractive all men want to sex me."

Photographers that do this give the rest of us a bad name, its just creepy. A proper photographer is it in it for the art.

Oh, there're some proper photographers who're in it just for the money.  And there's nothing wrong with that.  Art & commerce are both valid motives.

I do understand your point, but I feel your comment is too harsh. Not all photographers are like that, but it does happen and sometimes models are to blame for photographers actions. I have only worked with professionals and they are artists. Photographers will also test you and see how professional you really are.... Sleeping with a photographer should not be 'your claim to fame'..!! I have partied with some photographers, but we have worked hard.. Don't you think we deserve a drink??

Oh yeah... and the ones that don't want you to bring an escort only because in the back of their minds they want to try their hand at getting you to sleep with them after or even during the shoot!

That is really weird if they want to cook you dinner.

It's also not in the back of their minds, mostly front and center. LOL

I think you can tell when a photographer is in it just to get some.
As you can tell the first five minutes you spend with the model how she will act.

No one is innocent here.

So this is how the industry is. Take it, leave it. Or just work with pros.

You ll see how easy it is to get turned on with a makeup artist, a hair stylist, a fashion stylist, 2 assistants and 3 random people that always show up and nobody knows who they are, are watching.

Sometimes my wife does my hair styling so i guess im pretty far from trying to get some.
