What would you do with this pic in Photoshop??
I took a picture of my wife over x-mas... and i am not well versed in photoshop... anyways.. here is a b4 and after of what I could do.. what would anyone else do? Feel free to use it to post b4 and after pics.. Before After Dec 30 08 07:17 pm Link Lopez Photo wrote: I think it's everyone. I saw another thread on it. Dec 30 08 07:20 pm Link Yeah I had issues.. its up now tho. I need to figure out how to make those eyes pop!!! Dec 30 08 07:29 pm Link Pretty good. If it was mine, I'd clean up some of the red in the hat, add a warming filter, and through some blurry Christmas lights in the background. And I'd move the logo to the other side... it distract me on her neck. Might've left some of the details in her hair. Overall, I think you did a great job. Dec 30 08 07:44 pm Link Yea you did a pretty good job, i tried real quick to see and came up with similar results, not much you can do more. Dec 30 08 07:46 pm Link delete it from the hard drive. Dec 30 08 07:47 pm Link Do you have the RAW? I would bring back the detail and then continue retouching like a regular shot Dec 30 08 07:49 pm Link Shoot the photographer? Dec 30 08 07:50 pm Link I'd reshoot. We had a saying for things like this in the IT (Information Technology) world GIGO, which stands for Garbage In/Garbage Out. Dec 30 08 07:51 pm Link I would do some brightness/contrast adjustments, and possibly some presets in light room that will help with the contrast and the colors. Dec 30 08 07:53 pm Link Here is what I did with it. The original shots color was all over the place so I tried to adjust for it. I can send you the PSD file so you can look at the layers. PM me an address if you want. Dec 30 08 07:54 pm Link Gibson Photo Art wrote: Uh, you totally introduced all sort of artifacts and noise from sharpening. Look at the hat. Dec 30 08 07:58 pm Link Ok, here's what I thought. It's a nice picture, she's a lovely looking lady. The light on her is a bit hot and a bit yellow/red. I took down the color some, smoothed out the complexion of her forehead, darkened the lips, eyebrows, eyelashes and ring around the iris. Adjusted curves some to even out the light on her face but keep her looking white and angelic. Put a little vignetting around the corners and I think it looks pretty good. What do you think? Dec 30 08 07:58 pm Link Corey Ward wrote: I know. It was a quick 3 min job from a JPG. We certainly aren't working with a RAW file here. Dec 30 08 08:02 pm Link Just a quick shot at it... Your wife looks great but she needs a better photographer. jk joe duerr http://www.joeduerr.com Dec 30 08 08:04 pm Link I barely gave it any sharpening and the artifacts just popped right out. Not much to work with. Dec 30 08 08:05 pm Link just a quick one . . a raw file would of been nice .. Dec 30 08 08:05 pm Link Lopez. I would recommend shooting this over. I see at least two color casts from the lighting. Her eyes are too dialated and aren't attractive. The lighting is too harsh and contrasty causing shadows. Dec 30 08 08:08 pm Link ghost Dec 30 08 08:16 pm Link Not worth saving the image. It's not portfolio worthy. Just delete it. Dec 30 08 08:17 pm Link your lighting was way off, what were u thinking? I'm bored Dec 30 08 08:18 pm Link here is my quick 5 minutes, the eyes might appear overly done. Dec 30 08 08:19 pm Link Dec 30 08 08:21 pm Link Dec 30 08 08:21 pm Link Corey Ward wrote: Oh and Corey. I went back and check the original file. The noise was already in the shot. When I applied the levels adj layer you can see it. The original is overexposed so you can't see the noise. Check it for yourself. Dec 30 08 08:23 pm Link guys lay off on the contrast!!!, u all are giving her deep burns on her left cheek lol Dec 30 08 08:24 pm Link What the heck, here's my quickie shot at it: (I forgot to save it as sRGB so the colors aren't 100% right.) The original shot is quite blown out so lots of the details from the white of the hat were lost. If it were my shot I'd spend some time putting some details into it. But I'm not that bored. Dec 30 08 08:51 pm Link Dec 30 08 08:54 pm Link Not a PS expert, but there is my attempt at playing with it Dec 30 08 08:55 pm Link Here ya' go ... this is my take. That was fun Just did the usual ... fix eyes, replace background, B&W, tone ... and a shitload of other adjustments here & there ... LOL Lopez Photo wrote: Before: https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thre … ost8461518 Dec 30 08 09:06 pm Link I would completely give this image a go but I just got done with tons of photoshop and traveling around everywhere to get footage for a teachers local retirement video. I'm am exhausted! Maybe tomorrow at 6am when I get up if I have a few spare minutes I'll throw a shot at it. Dec 30 08 09:07 pm Link joe duerr wrote: LOL ... that's funny! Dec 30 08 09:14 pm Link Dec 30 08 09:35 pm Link I'd reshoot it with better light and look for a softer expression. KM Dec 30 08 09:39 pm Link Dec 30 08 09:39 pm Link |
