The WI Justice Department... it has one, I'll have to see... or could we mean the WI attorney general? But hey, I'll get to looking.
As for your name not being able to be tied to your photography... because of a no-compete(non-compete), yet you are still doing it, so if they found out, you would be in breach of your contract? So uh, just casually, where you work?
As for the militia comment, it was from the court filing TX posted, you claimed it and like the "photography" award, if you claim it, I believe it.

Ok, my 2cents are spent.

I don't know how all of you are drawing the conclusions you are drawing.  The awards are real.  I did not buy anything.  You don't like ISP, or ILP, so you associate your dislike of them with anyone who they give an award.  Seems to me it is not up to you to make disparaging remarks about ISP or ILP either unless you have a personal issue with them.

As for the rest .... soon, you will find out the rest

I want to thank each and everyone of you who thought you were attacking me, as the information you have provided to me about who is hacking my work off my computer, and who is making disparaging comments, without foundation, is invaluable.

I have been wondering why I get attacked every time I go on line.  Now I know ... people who want evil, and never bother to talk to the side they crucify.  Then when they do talk, it is based on ish in their own minds, so they treat their accused differently than they treat everyone else.

There is a politician right now that is running for office.  He admitted publicly the Civil Rights and Constitutional violations.  He bragged about it and it was recorded in the Marshfield News Herald.

Now he wants to be President .. so I have to get this information in the hands of someone who can do something about it.  You don't want a man who steals your home and uses his political might to do so, as President.

By posting out here, it is on Google.  And I can document every word I said here... I was very careful of that.

So thank you all for playing along.  You are my protection. This thread will protect me when I turn this information over to the proper people so I can protect all of you from a President that will steal your home and brag about it.

Now is it starting to make sense? Why were my awards attacked?  Why did the Bar ignore a judgment filed in a court room in WI? Where did they get the ficticious income numbers and the rest of the info.  I wasn't filed from here.

Why do they misrepresent my work and life when I created the CMA program so all of you could have health care without costing you a cent.

My health took a turn for the worse so I sent out my will yesterday.  I am and have been turning away all work, for health reasons. But thanks to you good people, Google now has it, and as the Presidential race tightens up, people will search out these records.  I have tried going to the press, but they blocked my email.

What I have said can all be proven.  It is documented and true. I do apologize for having to come to MM to get this into a search engine so someone can do something about it.  I guess I pushed the buttons I needed to push.

So I thank you for what you have all contributed. That which was meant to hurt me, helped me.  And helped you avoid another lunatic in the White House.

Dear Mr. Outlaw,

Reading your responses is akin to being on acid and trying to comprehend a Zap comic book tale. Please stop this nonsense. If you can't stop this nonsense, please give a complete and cogent accounting of yourself. I don't feel I should have to look up a court record to determine what the heck you are saying.

On the other hand, if mis-direction and hyperbole are tools you are using to irritate everyone on a splendid Sunday afternoon, I hand you the grand prize plaque and surrender my throne to you.

There are exceptions - if the person's name is a "brand." For example, when Peter Norton sold Norton Antivirus and Norton Utilities to Symantec, he was under an agreement not to do any business under the name "Peter Norton."  But it was a contract, and Symantec was paying about $2mil/year for exclusive use of his name. smile Not a bad gig, if you can get it...

When I was CEO of NFR I negotiated all our noncompetes and got seriously schooled in all this stuff. It's a huge drag. But knowing it comes in handy, sometimes.

In the case of the OP, though, I've got to make an exception; the premise here is that he's won awards and international stature with those photos. The downside of claiming to be internationally recognized is that you are, in a sense, inviting public criticism.

Someone who's got an impressive set of awards needs an impressive set of photos to go with them. Otherwise it's acceptable and reasonable for even amateurs like myself to go "hey, WTF! this stuff isn't award-worthy!"

After Outlaws last post, I'm scared. I mean he is out there folks, in the real world living amongst us(or at least those of you in WI), I don't even think he has supervision. A cold chill ran up my spine at the thought of this.
Now I'm starting to wonder how many more like him there are out there? Jeeze, I'm creeping myself out at this thought.

Actually, my corporate lawyers said that the porn industry and acting was one of the places where a lot of case law got set regarding whether a noncompete can cover your name. California - as the center of acting and porn - has some of the most employee-favoring laws regarding noncompetes. In California you basically can't write a noncompete that'll keep someone from having a livelihood. Which is why the big guns (like Peter Norton and Peter North) are probably compensated under a "don't do anything and we'll still pay you" type arrangement. smile

When the venture capitalists invited me to leave NFR I had an arrangement like that but sadly for me it only lasted a year. Basically it was a "go do something that has nothing to do with computer security for a year and we'll pay your salary for that time." Very nice. I spent a lot of time in the woods with my horse and was pulling down big bucks the whole time. smile

Yeah, I openly trash my own work here(I'm not selling to you guys, just having fun), I agree with what you wrote and why, I'm just buzzing through this forum for fun(except my previous post was real).
I claim no photography awards, I know I'm out in left field for photography, but I like it, other people seem to like it(at least those that buy it and pose for it), so I rock my own thing. But I am going to ISP to get me an award for some crazy image like, one of my stitched face images(on my website, which isn't really photobucket).

News Flash!  Model Mayhem keeps Tommy Thompson from becoming President!  Film at 11!

Gotta love this.  We have had references to everything from the Iraq war to the presidential elections all over the fact that some scam organization is giving out "International Photography Awards" and some people are using them to claim status that is very hard to justify.

I pride myself on doing my homework before making posts.  I did make one error in the previous thread.  I assumed because a photographer had pictures of awards on his web site, that he had in fact received those silver bowls he had pictures of.  Now we find out he did not; he just took the pictures from ISP and published them without ever mentioning that he doesn't actually have the bowls.

One has to wonder whether he has a copyright license from ISP to use those pictures (seems unlikely; who will pay for the silly little bowls if they can get pictures to use for free . . . .).  If he does not, one has to further wonder why he is complaining about publication of his words on MM by others when it appears he is guilty of copyright infringement.

Just things to do on a Sunday afternoon.

Bingo.

That's actually why I decided to start weighing in on this thread. The guy's got my B.S.-meter pegged in the red zone so hard the needle's starting to bend.

Anyone who's actually spent more than a trivial amount of time dealing with lawyers and the law does not waste their time throwing around nonsense about "defamation" in a public forum. Anyone who has the money and power to pursue such litigation won't even waste the time talking about it - and they can afford good enough lawyers to talk them out of wasting their money. Occasionally, a big name star will go after a rag magazine that crosses too far over the line but in those cases there's enough potential $$ and damage to make it fun, or worthwhile. If this whack job was sitting on $22 million (unless he had it all in tech stocks when the bubble burst!) he'd be able to afford a good enough lawyer to have that lawyer convince him to sit the F down and shut the F up.

More to the point, someone with $22 million would have been able to hire a professional web site designer and his site wouldn't be some lousy eyesore that takes forever to load because it's hosted at yourhostingaccount.com and has too many images on the burst page.

If I had a big bankroll, I damn sure wouldn't have a dozen "model on wronkled white sheet" photos on the same page as the photos with which I won my international awards. smile

I would guess that someone with $22 million wouldn't be living at home with daddy Sam and mommie Ida, either.  At least, not in Withee, WI.  But hey, whatever floats his boat, I guess.

Don't do that. If you're gonna have fun with the concept, check out some of the online degree mills. When I was researching getting my horse his PhD I found one that had this drop-down menu where you could "create your own degree programme" -- for $500 you could have a PhD in photographing women's b(o)(o)bies and for another $250 you could have straight A's and graduate magna cum laude. I am not kidding!

I bet an MFA is probably a couple hundred bucks. I'd rather throw my play money at hiring models than give it to degree mills but a PhD in "wronkled sheet glamour photography" might be fun to have.

Now - there's a case in point (thanks, Udo) when someone says "Pulitzer Prize" or "Nobel Prize" everyone goes, "aaaaaahh....."   Those prizes have serious cachet. They're well known and everyone can pretty much figure that they don't come in boxes of Cracker Jack. Now, when you start talking about other awards, then people go, "hmmmmm...." and form a judgement about both the award and the person who it was awarded to. Which is why I followed the link to the OP's site and concluded that, since it was covered with wronkled sheet glamour cellulite photos, the award probably did come in a Cracker Jack box. Or, belike, a dozen to a box.

No, I think he has appointed himself a one man band to stop Tommy Thompson's imminent inauguration.  Thing is, Tommy probably won't get elected, and then we will have to put up with this guy telling us all about his latest success.  Gotta love it.

Oh, I thought maybe he was talking about Barak Obama.

I swatted the Tooth Fairy down (mistook it for a mosquito), so I know that wasn't it.

This has got to be the funniest thread I've seen on Mayhem! Outlaw should book a shoot with a certain model who will claim that he raped her of mind and body. Then he can sue her and bring in more coporate income.

I wonder if a PhD in the lost language of "Cunnilingus" will impress the ladies at the bar? Or maybe I could get my PhD in "porn watching" Could you send me to where to find a degree mill please, I might just do something ridiculous like that for fun.

Oh, I know. I am quite the fan. Whenever he comes east my wife and I make the trek to go catch him, wherever he is.

I first saw Henry at the 9:30 in DC in '98 (I think it was) and I was in the middle of dealing with a real mess in my life. At one point he went into this long rip about people complaining about their lives and their jobs and ended up screaming at us: "If you don't like it: QUIT."  Whoh. It was like someone had slapped me upside the head then put his boot up my butt. I spent a couple days after that thinking and then started putting plans in place to change my life. I'm not some weak-kneed fanboy saying "Henry changed my life!" but I have never, ever, been to one of his shows and not felt like I had a whole lot of stuff to think about. It's like shock therapy for your sense of complacent perspective.

His rant "Airport hell" (off Think Tank) is almost always what's on my iPod while I'm at the airport. smile That's why I'm smiling at the guy in front of me. Because I'm deciding where my boot is going to go...

The best thing about Henry Rollins is that he isn't a show, he isn't an act he is as he puts himself out there. I've had the amazing fortune to meet many of the people I find funny, adore and what not. Most of them are just an act and really couldn't care less about what comes out of their mouth, but Henry speaks as he feels. Now that was one fun conversation.

Man, At first this all sounded like the acts of a 20 something trying to get some pantied down. 52? Man, it just got dirtier. I peeped out all of the Outlaw sites.

Let me say this..I have never seen such poor web design in my life. I am astounded as to the lack of design and organization on these sites. I would expect more from a well established professional.

I took a look at some of the testimonials from client "models" Perhaps I am too WEST COAST now, but I dont know too many models in this market that would be impressed with said testimonials. It looks more like small town chest thumping, in a market where there is no competition and well..NO MARKET. Sorry, just what I see.

Bring that outfit out here and you got nothing. I am no big potato, hell I got Smash Box across the street from me, trust me when I say, I 'd much rather have you sitting there.

Outlaw, I'd say grow up, but you should already be GROWN up. What are you doing? How much more do you need to know you have been called out. Do you know how MAD you look? Is this really how you wish to be remembered when you die?

Are you so lost in life that you need to fabricate greatness? DUDE! If you want greatness, go out and make it happen! It's not too late. But if you keep fucking around creating lies, the rest of the time you have left will pass you by, and then it will be too late.

ROTFL!  THAT is DAMN funny!

But seriously,...and to the OP...Marcus brings up a very valid point...when someone mentions "Pulitzer" or "Grammy" or "Emmy" or "Oscar" everyone knows what that person is talking about, and is duly impressed, because they are legitimate awards.

When the "awards" you mention comes up on the other hand, people do that funny cough "bullshit" thing. The fact that you are so damn serious about defending it makes the whole sordid affair look even more pathetic.

Finally, (and yes, this is against the rules, but I have a feeling the mods are going to let me slide)....YOUR WORK SUCKS ASS.  No one in their right mind would EVER give you an award for your photography.  It is AWFUL, DREADFUL, and completely APPALLING.  The reason you're getting ripped to shreds on this forum isn't becasuse people are out to get you, it's because you seem to think your work is good.

Your work isn't good, or OK, or even acceptable.  It's freaking dreadful. THAT'S why no one believes you.

To the Mods.....sorry.  I couldn't help myself.  Someone HAD to say it...if I need to go in "time out" for a while, so be it.

Contact me for details!! I take payment in the form of beer, paypal, or unmarked bills in small denominashuns.

We also offer a "super model" trophy for models including "awesome b(o)(o)bies" award and the ever-popular "SLAMMIN' HOTTY" award. Those are more expensive and the b(o)(o)bies award requires that U pass a special examination.

GWC!

But can I just get a certificate to frame and hang on the wall?
