This list is on indefinite hiatus

On 3/24 I received an r-cam from a moderator about and I have been waiting to hear back on what changes, if any, were expected of me as a "list person".  That being said, there doesn't seem that there are any drastic changes they expect from me.

Recently, I have faced some issues regarding the investigation process and how to handle bad reports.  I am a bit torn. As a traveling model I generally don't take risks with people for whom I've received a negative report. Yet if it all rumors and drama, it isn't fair to the host.  It is never my intention to get involved with any scene drama and yet it seems I have been pulled into the issues in a local community.  This may be another example of some people using a good resource to push their own personal politics.  But I don't know this for sure.  The unfortunate result is I have gotten stuck in the middle.

Quite frankly, when I started this resource (before it became an official list) I assumed that the models would do their own reference-checking. When it became official, one of the conditions was that a team would check references.  I never wanted to be the person in charge of "quality control" for everyone for this reason.

I'm talking with Craig about possible changes in how we handle adding people to this list and what the process should be for bad reports.

Until then, I have requested a temporarily lock on this thread.

Best,

Aubrey

Tampa Bay area of Florida (Downtown St Pete) 1 block from public transportation.

I have a pullout sofa sleeper in my studio area (what most people would use as a living room) that I allow Models to crash on when in from out of town.

A lot of Models come down and stay here and shoot so I have tons of references.

I'd be happy for a TFA deal!

Yes I posted on the old thread, but there were two mistakes made.  First, I am by no means a model!  Wish I had the look, but trust me, it's better that I am behind the lens than in front!

Second, while I can host in Peoria (NW Phoenix) Arizona, I can also host in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Mexico as I have a house there too.  Let me know what references you need to be an official 4th List Member, and anything else I can do to help out.  Thank you.

On the old list I am listed for OKLAHOMA

I am in Ohio.

The water is off in the winter, so there is no shower, the toilet is still flushable, and there is bottled water. The rest of the year it is full service.
If no one else is staying it is available.

We have successfully assembled a team of screeners including a security analyst and a private detective to assist us in checking backgrounds on potential hosts. We appreciate your patience as we're doing all we can to insure every 4th LIST participant's safety.

This does not mean that you should not continue to take every personal precaution including reference checks.

We should have additional 4th LIST updates for you on Monday.

We should reply here if we're volunteering?

We recently moved and now have a spare bedroom and bath, happy to host models traveling along I-10 if they have good references, especially if we can work out a TFP shoot.

MM members who've stayed at the new house so far:
- Missy W
- Big A
- Nettie Harris
- Jeff Brown
- Taylor Brown

One full-sized bed, one couch that converts into another. Wifi. During the summer, a pool.

Add me to the list for NYC.

I am dead center in the middle of the parts of Manhattan that you're most likely to go. I've got two models who can provide me with TFL (trade for lodging) references. I'm withing 3 blocks of of every subway other than the N/R G and M trains (meaning: A,B,C,D,E,F,V,Q,1,2,3,4,5,6&9).

As far as availability there's no patter to my schedule, so just ask.

Manhattan, in a great area of the Upper East Side.  A surprisingly comfy pull-out couch and a great airbed, both queen-size, are available in case two or more models are traveling together.  Closest to 4/5/6 subway lines.

Must like cats.  smile

Good question. Maybe we could have volunteer hosts list their preferences, models, photographers, or both. I'll ask Aubrey. smile

I can host a model, photographer, mua, etc who passes through Pittsburgh, PA. I'm located in the South Hills and live on a main route along a bus line and very close to the T-line (light rail). I'm about to purchase a visitors parking voucher so one car can park for free.

I live in a small one bedroom apartment. All I can offer up is my love seat or a comforter on the floor.

Smokers welcome, but I'm willing to not smoke in my apartment for non-smokers during their visit. I do not, however, condone showing up here drunk.

Adequate notice should be given so that I can check references on you. I'm very easy going though and have had 3 house guests already and also have shot with many photographers and hung out with some here as well.

No meals included. Sorry I'm poor and a terrible cook. tongue

Maybe we should consolidate it all here for convenience. Also, the OP of the other thread hasn't established a list, has no security measures in place, the thread is in Off-Topic Discussion, and it's buried in the back pages as no one has posted there since Sunday. Soooooo.... wink

How do we know that your processing has reached a given volunteer (from the prior list)?

For example, I haven't hosted before so any "checking references" will have to be with prior models (and that shooting experience extrapolated to a non-shooting experience).  What if they ignore your messages to them?

I'll host traveling peeps. Models, photogs, artists, basically any wayward soul needing a place to lay their head and someone to share their grub with. Spare room available. So long as said soul doesn't also mind sharing with 2 dogs, a cat, and a teenager. Oh, and remodeling work in progress so be warned.

Location: Berwick, PA. Near Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. 2 hours from Philly and NYC.

I might be able to play taxi driver if the timing is right, also.
